Often the most challenging part of fixing a bug like this is isolating exactly when/why it happens. The hard part is that for bugs that happen 5-10min or more into a game there is a LOT going on (especially in Ashes). For starters, if you hit this bug take a screenshot so we can get an idea of what state your game was in (were you capped on logistics? just run out of metal? etc.). Then, if you can try things to nar

How about the names are taken randomly from your friends list in Steam?
I'm guessing the Ai can do this, but it's to much work for Ai programmers Stardock, or anyone who cares. I'm not a Ai programmer, but I have an idea on how to program databases, and I understand linear programming. This won't leave me alone. Their are three programming structures in every program sequence which is it executes a function, or whatever you call it depending on the language, looping, and decision. The decision I'm familiar with the
Any update on when we might see 0.55? If you are still working on the auto-build "feature" =D...do you have any tasks you'd like us to do in testing to assist in that specific regard?
MSI R9 390X Gaming 8 GB owner here. Just to throw this out there. If the MSI Gaming App (Not MSI Afterburner) is running, Ashes of Singularity will not start. If the game is running, and I open MSI Gaming App, the game will shut down. No notice, nothing. I was opening it to run the on-screen FPS and GPU stats and found it interesting. A 2nd time I opened it I was switching my graphics card from Silent mode to Gaming mode. I now know how to see G
I am trying to reproduce. It might be related to having too many units queued up but not sure if it is the queue for that factory or if it a global queue count that breaks it. Also, I have seen a large factory stop producing because it had regular unit queued there...perhaps the queues are overflowing into each other?
Interesting take on what it may be. I'll play with that specificall
I don't have the ability to mock something up, but here's my $0.02: I'd love to see a spherical map taking up the entire middle of the screen. Data on the left/right. On the left a breakdown of all the awesome stuff you want to know at a moment. Complete breakdown of counts on how many units you have. Simply just a counter running for each individual unit you are running. Other data would be number of regions under control, br
Know what your FPS was during all this?
Oops, forgot that part. I just started up another game, let it get just as heated. Very smooth gameplay, but FPS is 15-20 when about 500 units were mid-battle. Just starting out I'm sitting at 28-35 fps for the first 15 minutes or so.
I loved the 390x while I had it for this game. Was really solid in regards to performance in DX12. I have since got the fury X and upped some graphics a little bit and still get solid FPS. Hopefully this new build gives better performance!
I am playing at 1440p and with everything cranked up I'm loving it. I'm on a Phenom II X4 980 at stock 3.7 ghz.
Late to the party, but here's the spec's: Phenom II X4 980, 8 GB, R9 390X 8GB, Windows 10
I like the following: (T1) Frigates (T2) Cruisers (T3) Dreadnought (T4) Juggernaut

Excellent write up! To chime in and help other folks out with computer hardware, I just did a heavy run on the game for 30 minutes. Myself and 5 other NPC's. We each had about 100-150 units active. Heavy mix of each tier of ground and air forces. Graphics Options: DX12 version running at 1440p with Crazy selected in options. No MSAA.
Chemie, I've ran into that myself today. Good to know its a piece of the work in progress.
Ok so this made my decision up for me. Proud owner of Lifetime edition now. Can't wait to wreck things up with my brothers. Waited until I got my 390X installed, and I'm loving me some DX12/Mantle! Maybe we can get under-tank LED lighting for the Founders? :D
