Ignoring the troll and back on topic So I realize not everyone is a Steam fan. But at the core I think most people probably are mostly concerend about Steam 'getting in the way of playing my game'. And that's a legitimate question. At the end of the day we're all wanting to play GalCiv3. Steam can enhance that experinence in a few ways, but those aren't useful if you can't PLAY the game at all. That's not fun for anyone! So in terms of stuff where S

@Frogboy some people are a tad concerned about the online requirement mostly because FE:LH requires steam to run. In that, if Steam is not running, and you launch the exe directly, it launches Steam as an online authentication. i think that may cause people to feel that the game has an "online requirement".

Well the latest news concerning the Yor ships doesn't allow for the free form kind of ship building. I'd assume that they want to keep consistent 'themes' across races which is why a total free form kind of editor isn't available. The game design isn't about total free form design decisions like in Spore so it makes sense they'd be limiting you. It's also a bit of a double edged sword. Yes you have freedom but even sometimes people need limitations. ANd
