tbh this doesnt look good. Most of his abilities are kinda generic, doing just damage. I seriously hope that a thing like spine attack isn't a carbon copy of fireball, right now I dont see how you can distinguish between the too really much(range and some mana differences maybe).
It's sort of different. It's casting time is much lower than fireball's (making it a good kiting ability). It's cooldown time is longer (bad). If its da

Poly, I believe that you are incorrect about dodge. I think that it is possible to dodge special ability attacks. I remember an erebus build that specialized in dodge for precisely this reason. His non-shadow abilities can't be too powerful. I mean, he gets to throw people deep into your territory. :P He's invincible when in the shadow warp, so it's unavoidable damage. I think Essence of Magic might be a good favor item for him. All of his abilities have a short cast time, which means

I'm not so sure about that. He can go invincible for 1.6 seconds, swap places with an opponent, and warp. I don't think his damage abilities should be as good as TBs with these in mind. I want to try a dodge build. P.S. Frogboy, can we get a look at the skill in between Spike attack and Elusiveness? There seems to be another skill tree there. Also, what is the level 15 ccombined stat for elusiveness and demon speed? Can you do a mouse-over at the level 10 skills for eac

This agitates me to no end. "I wanna play with him now!" Thinking off of the top of my head, here are the favor items that I think might work with him: 1. BotS His AoE might be enough to warrant BotS. 7 creeps x 500 dmg x 0.75 = 2625 mana each wave. 2. Staff of Renewal If his abilities are meant to be spammed, this might work with them. 3. Poison Dagger / Mard's Hammer / Furious Blade Yes? 4. Teleport Amulet Since he's sl

I'm curious to hear how many demigods each of you can play competently. I can play 3 at the expert level: UB, Rook, and Sedna. Can anyone here play all 8 at high levels of competition?

Nice guide! As the creator of the first hybrid Rook guide, I can say that this build is fully playable with the amulet of teleportation. The teleport amulet is friggin amazing on Rook. I use it as a "rejuvenation potion" to teleport back to my crystal. This solves most of my early game mana issues. It halves your shopping time and allows you to easily gank. Sure, BotF will give you more lane control, but with the teleport ammy I can run my HP into the ground and then teleport back to

The key, Ravenix, is to spread out your towers. Create a long chain of them. If the TB tries to AoE your farm, he won't be able to catch all of them. TB is one of your counters, so you are going to be quite as effective.

I've noticed something odd. Once Oak reaches higher levels, he can have 8 spirits out with only 1 point in Raise Dead Ward. I'm not sure at what level this occurs. Can anyone else confirm this?
he's supposed to dominate in regular combat
I agree in theory that this was the intent of Stardock, but I do not agree with it in practice. Regulus, Sedna, UB, TB, and Oak can all give Rook a fair fight. He's not so powerful that he deserves to have his movement speed reduced by 10%.

I've played games with teammates that have 30% win records, and we've beaten teams with 65% wins. People put too much faith in the overlay.

Well, it's nice that a lot of you want to see his speed bumped to 5.6. I vote 5.8. :D Also, I don't really care what would happen in real life. This is a videogame. :P

Bestial Wrath is really cool if your oppenents will stick around. Usually, I've found that decent players will avoid me for the 7 seconds. Also, you shouldn't really activate spit or foul grasp while under BW because it's a waste.
