This game is all about the GPU. Your CPU and memory are adequate. Focus on a 9-series (or the next generation) GPU. The bigger the better (e.g. 980 Ti). If you want to have other things running in the background then add memory. The 9-series GPU is a cost-effective upgrade for all 6-series GPUs. 7-series could wait for the next gen but doesn't have to!

FYI, Crossfire (and SLI) support for any game comes from the GPU mfr in the form of drivers, not from the game code itself.

Clearly temperatures, "catastrophic" weather, oceanic PH levels, et. al. have varied widely for millenia prior to the appearance of humans, let alone the recent industrial revolution. To believe our activity is having more than a token impact is arrogant ignorance, IMHO. It only serves those who seek to control others.

Old? Continue to do what you believe in. "Legacy". The appreciation for what you do well and what you have done in the past will come through sooner or later. And it will find a lot of affirmation and support. Being rare or unique in your own eyes does not mean you are so in the eyes of the larger masses. The human race is on the precipice of a number of decisions and actions. It should not be allowed to forget about those made in the past and their outcomes. Don't

It's not a game yet. It's an alpha. If you or your friends don't want to help with the alpha then you or they shouldn't have paid for access. Go play what you want and come back when it's released.

You could put a running ping on your partner's IP and that of a server, were it known. Let that run in a window and reference it when things get wonky. That can tell you whether your connection(s) are the problem. Just a thought.

As I replied in your other post on this: It would seem the Gaming Evolved application's idea of optimization is bad. If you want to see if you can recover your original, higher FPS, I would uninstall the app. Use the Display Driver Uninstaller ( http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html ), and then re-install the latest driver for your GPU. Somehow, I think I read exactly this or something similar some time back. I, for one, am not concerned about any issues nVidia GPUs are having with DX12 right now. Things are going to change. Mightily, I bet.

Until you get an answer on that, I might suggest tweaking the graphics settings until you have high enough framerate in-game to keep your recording stream glitch-free. Dropping the MSAA and using Temporal AA is my first suggestion. Followed by dropping shadow quality. Good luck and welcome!

It appears so. From the FAQ (https://www.ashesofthesingularity.com/game/faq): Absolute Minimum: 64-bit Windows 7 / 8 / 10 OS Quad Core CPU 8 GB Memory 2 GB DirectX 11 Video Card 1600x900 Display Resolution High-speed Internet Connection We Recommend: 64-bit Windows 7 / 8 / 10 OS I

I have this with a 980SC as well. Changing MSAA to 2x (or less) and using Temporal AA helps. This, for me, was new with the latest version of the Alpha and/or latest Win10 updates.

Are you certain the GPU is overheating? If it's a factory overclock, I suggest acquiring the factories "tuning" utility that can alter voltages, clockspeeds, etc. and UNDERclocking the GPU enough Mhz to get it to the reference speed. If the card works when underclocked, call the mfr for an RMA. I have zero issues doing the same with EVGA. I've had stellar support from them and they keep getting my dollars. Otherwise, inspect your case closely to be certain the i

Call me Kazz. I've been gaming on PCs since just before DOS. [e digicons]X|[/e] I've been in IT-related fields and consulting since that time. My wife says that currently I'm retired. But there's one youngster in the house and my wife travels a lot so the 24x7x365 support gigs I had are over and her travel is erratic and often short-notice. So, I guess I'm something close to a Mr. Mom! As I've
