actually, the space sharks have HELPED me in the game i'm playing now. I "led" two of them to the Arceans-whom I am going to declare war on just as soon as the sharks wipe out their fleets! Har! what a hoot, thanks to Jaws, their military is nearly gone AND the some of their planets are without orbiting ships so they's easy pickins, Jethro!!

I was one of the frothers that complained about game ending random events when I first started playing. However, some of them WERE NOT game ending, they just made the game tougher. I tended to lump them all together as game killers. And now that I've updated the game with the download, there are fewer of them (at least in the games I've played so far.) If I do get one that really wrecks things for me I guess I'll just quit and start a new game if I dont want the hassle. I am reformed.

I have found Moo3 playable and moderately enjoyable....hopefully more so after the REAL patch. However, I find GalCiv extremely fun and I like it much more than Moo3. yes, there is room in the world for both. That said, if QS makes MOM2 and it comes out anywhere near as DIFFERENT from MOM as MOO3 was from MOO2 I think it will be a near disaster. Might it be a fun game? maybe...after many patches unless they get their act together (or unless publishers leave them alone to get the job done if tha

Wrath- Deciples 2 is a great game.If you played D1 its the same only better graphics and a few tweaks here and there. I just got Starships Unlimited at CompUSA yesterday so I havent figured it out yet. Its real time by the way. Warlords 4? I didnt know it was out yet. I'm hoping that will be great as I loved the other Warlords turnbased games...the Battlecry series didnt do anything for me...I am totally turned off/burned out on/ sick of/bored with etc RTS. I am also looking forward to TW Rome

How about being arrested for impersonating a game developer? LOL Mythor- some of the responses were straight-forward and explained the reasons, I agree. Its the frothers that dismissed the question out of hand that I took issue with. But whats the point? May as well be carrying stones to Hadrian's Wall. For me, my best solution is to stay off the board. Cheers.

Geez. Talk about a bunch of defensive morons. The new "patch" for Moo3 is out which addresses a few of the issues. However, its not an easy direct install like the GalCiv patch. You have to copy files over to different directories in the Moo install file. Not the end of the world I know, but when I SIMPLY asked why there couldnt be a direct install to the game (not even mentioning GalCiv so as not to get their shorts in a bunch) half the responses attacked me for being unable to run a computer.

I've run it on a p500 with 128 ram...works fine but only up to medium galaxy. The animations of the other civs in the dipolomacy section is a bit choppy, but overall, the game is playable. On my athelon 2000, its just supurbe. Unfortunately, its ME that sucks. Cheers. Hey vampiere....nice handle. :D

thanx Spru-can. I realize thgis may not be read as its so far back but I have been without power since Friday April 4. Still dont have power...using a generator to produce some electricity. (Bad ice storm in Michigan.) The choice I've had to make: heat or GalCiv? hmmmm, heat won out for awhile but now I getting a little computer time between heating sessions.

yeah. dont be a whiner. See, once upon a time there was this OTHER whiner, called Wampyre or some such silly archeaic name for the nosferatu and see, he always complained and bitched and moaned that the game cheated and he couldnt win and the other races were so mean to him and blah blah blah. He turned into a rabid drooling, nosepicking, and extremely annoying monster that was beginning to irritate the board but then...............he got better. :d

BTW, I havent updated it yet because I cant figure out how to register SDC and I cant download the update directly because the game is installed on another computer while my modem is on this slower one. (I know...dumb move, buying a computer without a modem.)

konfuzed...the version is legal. your response is insulting and i wont even respond to it. I stand by my assessment of the games imbalances out of the box. To the other guy who was amazed that I played a game for 2 days...I dont play it for infinite hours straight...I have a life. I play, come back to it. I play..come bck to it. I am not a newbie to gaming, been playing for quite a few years, probably longer than 90% of you on the board though that is neither here nor there; but in

Star- thanks for the advice; I will try that. TLA-Russion: come back and tell us all how fun it was when this event happens to you. Maybe I'm just unlucky...4 games played, all at FOOl level..all ended by random events. I guess youre LUCKY. Anyway, I now have a strategy and if I can figure out how to download the updates, I'm told the events are toned back on easier levels, which is as it should be. Full on hard levels should get everything thrown at you. Cakewalks should be....well ca
