are you guys who are playing at higher levels using the new updates/bonus packs or playing the game out of the box? I'm wondering about game busting/ending random events. Are they reduced or do you still get the blammo Draginol empire has taken over your home system with ships that are near unbeatable (which is most cases is GAME OVER). I havent gotten the updates yet and I have been paying on FOOL. At higher levels , with a more competent AI AND random game busters, it must be frusrtating u

I'd kill for 50%. We're not complaining about not going over 50 constantly. we're complaining about way below 50 AFTER building every improvement and MINING morale resources and relying on sending colonists into space as fast as colony ships and transports can be built.

well, I guess its my turn to have 2 days worth of investment go down the frickin toilet based on a random dice roll (called an EVENT.) The evil bullshit "taking over your planet" happened to me now. Game over. I had the other races destroyed or on the run but now these uber ships cannot be beat and the Draginol are pumping them out like muffins from an oven, all the planets have 100% morale (gee imagine that. no cheating here though)The system has a dozen uber dreadnaughts protecting it (as

wish i would have taken Moo3 back but I got suckered into the "just give it time...say 2 weeks worth of playing" syndrome and lost my opportunity to return it. I understand now that EBX changed their policy so you cant return ANYTHING if has been opend anymore, unless defective. Who STILL has a return policy nowadays???

hey how about: "you just woke up. never made any progress the last 10 hours you played. IT WAS ALL A DREAM. You have one star system with two low morale planets. Go back to bed." And why dont I see an event screen about some OTHER frickin civilization that got a game busting event. Its always ME, never the other guy. We need to toggle; events on/off. Those who love the excitement of losing a game to due a dice roll after all day play can toggle on. Those who dont want random eve

It was pulled due to all the protests against the war. Just kidding. NO EB in the bay area? they were there when I lived in San Mateo a fews years ago. Keep the faith, you'll soon see it at Comp USA. I am not sure about Best Buy...they will probably carry it eventually.

hey since were talking about unfair, game ending random events (hell I got the "terrible evil growing-youre screwed" event playing on FOOL level fakrissakes.) why not have an event pop up (after you've invested a dozen or so hours)that says: You wake up one morning and realize that you never conquered the galaxy; you never made any progress; you never came just THIS close to winning. IT WAS ALL A DREAM. You have one star system with two planets and they are both at 10 morale. Go bac

they will contact you to tell you that they are going to give you XX amount for XX months. I dont believe you just get credits out of the blue from the aliens. However, if you dont keep track of who contacted you to say youre getting tribute, I dont know if that info is available anywhere...unless you get it from your espionage reports.

it seems to be doing well without media hype as all the stores who carry it have none or one box left. Will do even better when the idiot mass marketers start to carry it (one must assume that their corpoorate buyers have some clue even though the sales staff doesnt.) Part of the responsibility of a buyer is to stay current with what is going on in the industry; the responisbility of a typical mass market sales clerk is to get ready for the PARTY they cant wait to go to after work. Kewl Doode!!

is the colony ship out of orbit? If it is out of orbit, do you have colonists on it? A left click on a ship space and a right click on the destination point should move the ship. If it is OUTSIDE the range of your ship you should get a message in a box staing that. Give more details if you still cant get it to go where you need it to. :)

makes you wonder...GalVivs been out for less than a week and already theres a download available with features and some bug fixes. Moos been out since FEB 26 (approx) and no patch yet (as far as I know.) Could be wrong since i havent checked the Moo board lately...very difficult to go back there.

no, its worth a try! So far, nobody who is involved in the game development seems to care about the potential issue with morale being a game buster. So far all I've heard is work-arounds or insinuations that if you cant control morale...well, you just dont know how to play the game so quit whining. trouble is, I've heard that kind of defensiveness before..on ANOTHER board. I'm going to try that, Kon, because it may be a good additional workaround.

How about that "improvement" for an upcoming bonus pack? Keeps your population down and therefor helps morale. Can be used after you've built every morale improvement known to mankind and YOU STILL have morale problems. No more waiting for colony ships or transports to be built just to jetison unwanted colonists into space. I like it.

I'd prefer a quicker option than building ships to jetison colonists...SOYLENT GREEN. Stardock should include that "improvement" in a bonus pack. Too many people? Morale got you down? "Retire" some of the old folks...kill two birds with one stone....lower population and food for the rest. Or sell the product to others. Makes as much sense as building colony ships when there are no more planets to colonize or packing folks up on transports just to get your population down. All the other moral

I still say bring on a euthanasia patch and let us make food out of unwanted population. It would be easier than building ships and sending out colonists every 10 turns. But of course, the experts who have no problem with morale can just not build that improvement
