Is a little out of hand. In a game I am playing the weakest military, according to the F5 screen, became the strongest with this event. olaf

Any info on this patch anywhere? olaf
MOM2 would rock. olaf
It seems that when I DL galciv updates from SDC, it wants to place them in a 'galciv' folder under whatever path I have specified in the SDC settings. So in otherwords, I have the game under 'Galactic Civilizations', then it puts all the update files under 'galciv' in that directory. Anyone know what I am doing wrong or have a fix for that? Thanks olaf ~SDC~
As of the last patch, the tribute bars (artifacts or something on them, dont scroll properly either) and the Leave button (says string not found) the trade screen are messed up. olaf ~SDC~
I cant stand DST, its ridiculous. olaf
I get the same problem, and same error, except I am trying to update from .039 to .040. olaf
LOL I can see the update and its not asking me to download 85megs...but it is crapping out on the exe download. I have .039 installed. olaf ~SDC~
Grar! Mine is crapping out trying to grab the 1.02.40 build. olaf
System is pretty beefy XP2700+ on a KT3Ultra running XP Pro 1g RAM Radeon 9800Pro Audigy Gamer Only seen it this once, but it completely ruined my game :( olaf
Great to hear we might be getting some relief from the trial and error method of getting max tribute. I hope it works out. olaf
Why did the version change? olaf
Is there a way to increase the hp gain on a per turn basis by any player action? I know the various techs increase the rate, but what about being on the same square as a starbase, or having the ship orbiting a planet or just not moving at all during a turn? It seems like either of those should increase the repair rate a little. olaf
All great requests. Especially the third one. What needs to happen is that the player selects a term, then the game autocompletes the max tribute the AI will accept. olaf
I think the problem lies with the game not actually evaluating a ship 'as is'. I say this because, in my last game the USS Hero was a monster early on. It had 30 defense while the best ship anyone else had was a corvette. I parked in the midst of my enemies space, and they just sent wave after wave of ships towards it, barely scratching it. The ship gained a lot of levels and was the meanest thing in the galaxy until dreadnoughts were introduced. This was on normal/bright. BTW, pos
Thanks for the response. That ought to clean up the little route map a little too. :) olaf
I will check that, but this is some kind of bug and I was just wondering if anyone else had seen it. Medium map. Off the top of my head, 3 majors left, maybe 1 minor. Not an unusual amount of trade, in fact less than normal. Ships, not sure, but again nothing crazy. I have had a lot more. olaf
I find that much of the time the game will take the appropriate item out of my build list, and out of production, if another civ builds it. But it doesnt seem to do it near as often for the AI civs. In other words, the AI civs are much more likely to build a duplicate than I am. olaf
LOL come on! olaf
It would help also if when you clicked the box to enter a number, the cursor appeared to the right of the last digit, instead of on top of the last digit. olaf
In my current game, the combat animations are very slow. Like 60secs to resolve a ship to ship fight. The rest of the game moves at a normal pace, and a save from way back in this game, or from a new game, results in combat being fine. Never seen this problem before, the game usually flys for me. Any ideas? olaf
I still see this also. olaf
Oh and, what is the 'show all' button on the trade tab of the domestic policy screen supposed to do? :) olaf
I agree also, please dont let ships that carry people be autolaunched. Also, the setting seems to be star specific, instead of planet specific. It would be nice if it was planet specific. olaf
