Either scale the ship and planet statistics by 10, or allow decimals. The current rounding-down scheme makes most percentage-based improvements unusable until the mid-game. ~SDC~

Out of curiosity, anyone ever tried moving from planet A's range to to planet B's range where that would take you over a bunch of out-of-range space? I know someone filed a bug sometime back saying that their ships ignored range in waypointing, but it was for stuff like cutting corners across OOR sectors. I'm curious what would happen if you had a planet in the middle of some far-off star system (i.e. you got it in a trade or something), since the range check seems to be when you click on the

Assuming you installed the bonus pack, you have to hold it for some number of months. Hit the "menu" button, and there'll be a note by cultural saying "12mts" or something like that. That's how many more you have to go. Note that if you're at war, it won't count down. ~SDC~

Is anyone getting a lot of use out of these? The problem is that GC rounds everything down, so even the 30% bonus isn't useful until you get a ship with at 4 points in the given stat. Admittedly, once you add shields on and everything, you'll eventually see an effect, but the 10% bonus (1 point for every 10 natural?) seems bloody worthless. I really do hate having percentage bonuses given such small stat numbers. If stats were all on the scale of 1-150, say, so that your survey ship

1) Tech Speed bonuses aren't really +10%, etc. Impulse drive seems to give a +1 Speed to all ships, assuming later bonuses do the same. Text should be corrected. 2) Ship statistics in the Military Projects screen don't reflect speed (or other?) bonuses. ~SDC~
