Indeed, vincible. Update on my game. I've got a so-so start with my current Maso Large Abundant with one sector of systems + a PQ14 but got a lucky break as my wormholed survey ship stumbled upon the 3 system Alexians. They even got a PQ26 so they are going to bankroll me and in the near future join me in my conquest of this map. - Find the Alexians. Check. :) ~SDC~
I'm pretty sure the computer uses your (Governor Ford's) build queue.
Now if that was true, wouldn't it be too simple to trash their production by setting up a bogus queue in Ford and then use another Governor for yourself? :)
I played a little 1.13 last night, too. My impression was that it was significantly harder, but since it was just a fraction of one game it could easily have been luck. The AI beat me to several wonders that I usually get, and seemed
I often see a major AI with Basic Environment while still lacking Medical Theory. The AI seems to not care too much about the tech tree
That would be possible through trade, JaxomCA. I've often skip the rather useless starting theory techs myself. ~SDC~

We have a few players reporting that the Tech Sharing UP issue causes a complete lockup of the game in 1.13. Cari is looking into it. Personally, I've deleted the TechRevolution02.UPISSUE file in Galciv/Data/UP_Issues to pre-empt the problem. You might want to delete or rename the file yourself if you encounter this. There are actually two tech sharing UP issues but reports seem to point towards TechRevolution02 which has the 8,4,2,0 techs options. ~SDC~

For reasons explained in the "Bug Reports for 1.13" thread, HyperWarp has inadvertently become the pre-requisite tech for Xeno Intimidation and Large Scale Building instead of 1D Phasing. As Large Scale Building is the pre-req for Dreadnoughts, it means that Evil and Neutral races can't get to Dreadnought tech unless they get their hands on HyperWarp through trade or conquest. Without Dreadnought+ capital ships, it's obvious they wouldn't be lasting long in any games with Good races.<br
Do you still have the saving game bug? This gives, after reloading a savegame again the movementpoints and checks the culture bombing and the attitude of other races towards you. Very nasty bonus for those who cheat by reloading to get a wonder first.
Reloading a game returns you movement points? Just tried it. It doesn't. Or did I misread you. Yes, reloading to rush-beat another AI to a wonder/TG is an exploit but I don't see how that can be fixed, even if we wa
I have never observed a Maso AI with bonus range. They get to Controlled Gravity quickly, but until they do, they have the same range as I do, unless they have extended it with a starbase.
Sirian, start a new Tiny game with Maso AIs and reveal the map. Click on your colony ship. Your travel range will show 1 sector. Click on the Maso AI's colony ship, it will show 2 sectors. ~SDC~

Mike, No, it never was the case before this update. It wasn't a pre-req for Large Scale Building. Else as you said, evil races will have to go through the trouble to trade or conquer HyperWarp tech to get Dreadnought and future capital ships. I've just checked it and it does seem that 1D Phasing has been swapped with HyperWarp as the pre-req for Xeno Intimidation and Large Scale Building. I opened GCTech.TECH in Galciv/Data and edited the Tech_Requirement for Large Sca
Speed bonuses or penalties no longer stack
Need to correct myself. Speed does still stack but in a limited fashion. Speed bonuses are lost once the boosted ships leave the starbase sector while speed penalties cannot cause an enemy ship to go to zero movement. 1 movement is the lowest one can go. ~SDC~
"Ships that gives bonuses to friendly ships in same sector" is a good idea. It would encourage mixed-type fleets, rather than only cranking out your "best" ships. Perhaps several such ships should be added?
Support ships does make ship battles much more interesting but I can't emphasise enough that the AI needs to learn how to use them as effectively as humans obviously will. If you look at the special abilities of the new ships, they are similar to those conferr

WalkerintheMist, Yes, you can basically pick up every single alignment tech by changing your alignment over the course of the game. However, it gets really tedious to get both Galactic Pacifism and Domination as they are right at the end of the tech tree and they have 10 and 90 alignment requirements. If you are asking about a situation where you move your alignment beyond the threshold while still researching an alignment tech (eg, alignment drops to 69 while researching Hyper

Mike693, WalkerintheMist, All the techs you have mentioned are "alignment" techs, ie require specific alignments to research. HyperWarp requires alignment of >70 IIRC. Galactic Domination requires [Message Edited]
Does this mean that if you quickly defeat the I-League, you no longer need to worry about systems defecting?
From experience, that seems to be the case. I usually don't bother about 1 morale systems in the end-game if I know the I-League's gone. Perhaps the rare breakaway/civil war event should come into play in such instances. These planets should get a small chance of declaring independence.
