I've started crashing to the desktop evey 10-15 minutes ad I've never had that happen before. This is just after updating from the beta build to the non-beta of Gal Civ. * OS: Win XP Home SP1 * Directx 9.0B * Processor: Athlon XP 2700+ (333 MHz bus) * Motherboard: Asus A7N8X * Bios Rev: Version 1004 * NForce II drivers: 2.45 * Memory: Corsair 1 Gig DDR 3500 CL2 * Timings: 6-2-2-2 * Video Card: ATI Radeon 9800 Pro Cat 3.6 * Sound Card: SB Audigy

My first post may not have been too clear. Basically I had to re-install many programs because using drivercleaner messed up my sound. Gal civ happened to be one of the programs I had to re-install, and in bitter irony just last week I'd been stating I'd never had a slowdown ever in Galc Civ even in a Gigantic Uni with all AI. And like I said above, I never had a slowdown ever, even in a the largest galaxy, late game. My system specs: * OS: Win XP Home SP1 * Directx 9.0A * Processor: Athlon XP 2700+ (333 MHz bus) * Motherboard: Asus A7N8X * Bios Rev: Version 1004 * NForce II drivers: 2.1 * Memory: Corsair 1 Gig DDR 3500 CL2 * Timings: 6-2-2-2 * Video Card: ATI Radeon 9700 Pro Cat 3.5 * Sound Card: SB Audigy 2 (latest non-beta drivers) * 3 IBM Hard Drives:

Well, I used a program called drivercleaner to get rid of ATI and NVidia driver reference when I installed CAT 3.5 I had to reinstall many programs including Gal Civ. Well, this time I just did all the updates through stardock and for the first time ever I'm getting those really long waits (and this is in a tiny universe). What differed this time was not doing the manual install of the bonuspack. I'll try a re-install later and see if the long waits clear up.
