If so, I'm on board!! I have Drengin.net, but I'll buy it separately anyways if that'll help them put this thing in action :) Woohoo I'm really excited!! Hope it's not for nothing ;)

I've started crashing to the desktop evey 10-15 minutes ad I've never had that happen before. This is just after updating from the beta build to the non-beta of Gal Civ. * OS: Win XP Home SP1 * Directx 9.0B * Processor: Athlon XP 2700+ (333 MHz bus) * Motherboard: Asus A7N8X * Bios Rev: Version 1004 * NForce II drivers: 2.45 * Memory: Corsair 1 Gig DDR 3500 CL2 * Timings: 6-2-2-2 * Video Card: ATI Radeon 9800 Pro Cat 3.6 * Sound Card: SB Audigy
I play so many games, and 99% of them have annoying music that it's nice to have a game with good music. I've spent more time choosing new tracks of music for Simcity 4 and choreographing their entrance than actually playing the game... same with Space Empires IV.
Yes. same problem here.
2 reasons: 1. Ever since I upgraded to Drengin.net I have not been able to get Metaverse scores to submit right. 2. I just re-installed my entire stupid system (over the last 2 days) from scratch, and I now I can't get the BETA! Would someone from Stardock please help me?!
Personally I really like the in-game music.
Yep I cannot submit either and am hoping someone will help me.
Yes that's it! I have npot been able to submit since subscribing to Drengin.net.
Don't know how, or why, but I get ZERO slowdowns in any part of the game now. Yippee!
Ethermage that is awemose! I'll have to watch for tht kind of thing too!
Mine didn't go through...
No, I paid just like everyone else - but people seem to easily forget what a great product Gal Civ is - and it's a rarity (now-a-days) to have a turn-based game so nicely done. I'll be doing everything I can to support Gal Civ, as I hope it will continue to evolve :) [Message Edited]
Hey it worked just fine for me!
Wow, this is so awesome. I'm so glad I upgraded to Drengin.net! Totally worth it!
Well, #1 It cured my slowdown problem. #2 Really like the new grahics. #3 Love the hyper links. #4 Universe looks more vibrant. #5 Being able to remove outdated ships is awesome. #6 REALLY REALLY like the changes to the diplomacy screen. #7 Super Stable! Thank you, I love it!!
YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yor are always little weaklings in my games too.
No Cari, not a sound issue with Gal Civ - Drivercleaner messed up directshow (and sound), so I decided to reinstall several programs after restoring. Galc Civ happened to be one I unsinstalled and reinstalled.
I just tested my theory and it didn't help. There's definately a problem with the latest beta.
First time I had the game the installer would not install to D:\Galactic Civilizations So I had to install to D:\Galactic Civilizations\Galactic Civilizations Now that I had to re-install, that path hangs the installer, and I'mnow using D:\Galactic Civilizations\Galactic Civilizations\Galactic Civilizations Anyone else have this situation?
My first post may not have been too clear. Basically I had to re-install many programs because using drivercleaner messed up my sound. Gal civ happened to be one of the programs I had to re-install, and in bitter irony just last week I'd been stating I'd never had a slowdown ever in Galc Civ even in a Gigantic Uni with all AI. Now that I did a re-install of the game (and all updates from Stardock Central), I'm getting terribly long pauses mid-game in just a tiny Universe. [Messag
What's the support e-mail?
And like I said above, I never had a slowdown ever, even in a the largest galaxy, late game. My system specs: * OS: Win XP Home SP1 * Directx 9.0A * Processor: Athlon XP 2700+ (333 MHz bus) * Motherboard: Asus A7N8X * Bios Rev: Version 1004 * NForce II drivers: 2.1 * Memory: Corsair 1 Gig DDR 3500 CL2 * Timings: 6-2-2-2 * Video Card: ATI Radeon 9700 Pro Cat 3.5 * Sound Card: SB Audigy 2 (latest non-beta drivers) * 3 IBM Hard Drives:
Well, I used a program called drivercleaner to get rid of ATI and NVidia driver reference when I installed CAT 3.5 I had to reinstall many programs including Gal Civ. Well, this time I just did all the updates through stardock and for the first time ever I'm getting those really long waits (and this is in a tiny universe). What differed this time was not doing the manual install of the bonuspack. I'll try a re-install later and see if the long waits clear up.
Just wanted to say how excited I am the expansion is showing up on Drengin.net this week. Yea I want it now!! :)
