Atram: The other Expenses are that what your factories use when you have more than -500... You don't have these expenses as long as you are under -500... Wait until you are over, set the Spend rating higher and see how according to the spend rating your expenses are raising.

To be honest I really am not interested in "The political machine" and would sooner buy the Expansion for $20 then the Expansion+The political machine for $30... I will maybe get D-Net by the Time where GC2 Betas start showing up...
@Theoden of Rohdan: I don't really care as long as the games are more fun then!
Arturus Magi is right! Set the Spend rating to Zero for a while and let your money come back to over -500... Then increase your spend rating to a value where you are still making money... I guess it will not be able to run more than 30% of your factories... Do you use all your trade routes? If not make more freighters and trade more... I often can get around 50% of my income from trade.
Minors are only good for one thing: For beeing exploited! The bigger they are, the better you can exploit them... They will never become angry about or declare war and if you declare war on them they will not invade your planets. They will always be there to trade with you and give you much more than a major would do for what you give them. If you need something to exploit in the game to have fun then it's fine for you but I would rather like to know the outcome o
http://www.stardock.com/order.txt
What do you want to tell me this way? Looks like the Order form on the site with the differnece of an option pay by check... I don't know how all these things work on the other side of the Atlantic but here in Euroland you pay things you order via a simple money transmission to the bank account of the company you buy something from. When will the Human Empire finally develop the technology "Standardized Moneytransmissions" LOL
I have no credit card and cannot preorder it even if I wanted too! Don't you have a bank account to where I can send the money without having to have a credit card? To make it nessessary to have a credit card to be able to preorder will certainly limit's the amout of preorders! >:(
Here's how many planets which race had over the most time in my last Painful-Game: (Size: Medium Planets: Occassional) 1. Carinoids: 5 2. Alexanians: 3 Altarians: 3 4. Arceans: 2 Yor: 2 6. Humans: 1 Drengin: 1 Torians: 1 No question that the minors were Leaders in everything... Instead selling them tech like in my most games I bought it from them and this way could keep up and even overtake the Altarians tech... Sorry, bu
Oddly, it seems that the only UP events that ever come up are the tax on war and the "which planet shall get to host the UP for a 50% influence bonus."
Now where you say it... I thought it was just bad luck but somehow I don't remember having seen anything else the last few games... Wonder how a patch can affect things that were working before... Mom, no... I also have seen the "Shall the XXX give 5% of their Eco every turn... hmmm *notsure* :notsure:
Hmm I never Ally with someone who is weak and has bad relations to someone who is strong but well... I never thought about penalties for backstabbing because I never did so! One the one side it makes sense that Alliance victories get less score because they are easy to achieve... On the other hand if you ally and then culturally conquer your ally who does not mind you for absorbing him it's nowhere harder and I agree that they should react on culture SBs in the same way as someone who i
True there must be a sensor-range event now where you came up with the example... But I hope you don't need to learn a scripting language, moreso I hope it's realized like in SCEdit... You want a list of Triggers? Well I think since they haven't done the expansion yet chances are good that you have an influence on what triggers will be in! That's why StarDock is StarDock... I can think of 2 things at least that were fixed because I said that I wanted them to be fixed... And man
@Cari Elf: In the 2 1.11 games, I made, I wanted to play without exploits so I did not notice if it was already fixed. But it certainly was not in the patch txt... @Samurai Ben: Why would you want to take over the planets of your Allies? I cannot trade with myself! That thing with the unbreakable Alliance in GC is not a bug for me. I find it really cool! If you have an Ally in this game it is really a true ally and you can go to the end with him! Just look at my Profile, it's really rare
What is frolicking? Frolic is a well known dog-food-producer here in Germany... :d
I think the triggers will work like these in StarCraft maps... Whenever a certain thing is fullfilled a certain other thing can happen. The condition and result can be everything that you could imagine!I am quite sure that all of the conditions in your example are possible, well is first in sensor range probably not but I don't know... How much did a Drengin.net subscription cost? 30$, right?
I dont like using fleets bigger than 20 ships because it only shows me what the 1st 20 are... What would the response be on the issue with the fleet that can enter an enemy System? I guess something like: "When you know how to reproduce it, simply don't do what you have to do to get your ships inside of an enemy system!" However if yoz have spare time to adress it, here are the facts how to reprouce it: - group a normal ship and a transport in one fleet - autopilo
So this bug is never gonna be fixed? Sad to hear... How about a relaunch option, that speeds reloading up by doing all the steps (save game, close game, start game, load game) automatically? And what would be nice is if the game remembered the sort order for technolgies... I either sort them by cost or by category, sorting them by ID is quite pointless... However, I can live with that but still it's kinda weird that this bug is so unfixable...
Will Strategy First also sell this? I do not have a credit card and so cannot order it directly... Btw. I would not have wanted to buy it if the latest patch would not have been that good! ;)
After a while of playing some graphics disappear (ships, planet pictures). Seems to be a memory leak issue that disappears after reloading. This bug was also in 1.11 and certainly also before... With a warship and transport in a fleet I managed to fligh into an enemy Starsystem if there was no defense and I used autopilot. AIs have more transports now, good, but they sometimes keep them hanging around in space and be waiting for something so that in a war where I, the Torians a
To get the Drengins close to ally with me in my last game I gave them 3 techs and 3000 BC... It worked and together with them and the Torians the Evil Yor and Altarians were no problem anymore! (I play with random Alignments, the Drengins were Saintly)
More difficult though shouldn't equal impossible.
Why not? I think Maso was never thought to be winnable in most of the games! You are good if you can win on Maso in one out of a bunch of games!
In my last game the I-League was cruising around in Excaliburs and they had war with any major... Noone could build a ship without it becoming destroyed... Hell was that a long game to achieve tech victory with 14% Spend rating because I couldn't trade!
It was an exploitable bug. When you wanted to buy something from the AI you could simply use 1 turn instead of 0 the result was the same but you got it cheaper for like 60% of what it's worth. The reason was that 1 turn was 1 payment... Now 1 turn is 2 payments (1st right now, 2nd after a turn) as it should be and you can no longer betray the AI with this bug... I think that could've been one the easiest fixable bugs ever... more than adding a "+1" probably was not required to remo
@Cari&Frog: Hey, you finally fixed the bug that I told you about in the 1.10 chat! And you haven't even mentioned it in the version-log... Thank you for fixing it + the bug that the AIs could build SBs wherever they wanted... With that patch Galciv made a huge step in the direction of flawlessness! :)
May I also report that they finally have fixed a bug that I was reporting here after every patch? LOL You can no longer say a contract would be for 1 turn but only pay for 0 turns (you could save vast amounts of money if you exploited that). It finally works as it should and 1 turn means 2 payments instead of one!
Marq: Refresh won't do the job... you gotta restart SDC... I made the same fault and just posted in the other thread that the patch still was not out just before I found this one...
cet 23:25 ... no patch yet :(
