I will play it as soon as I have tested around enough with the Diablo 2 Beta Patch 1.10... Your lucky that I lost my credit card and have no bargain. Otherwise I'd have puchased the WC3 expansion and probably not have found the time for that.. ;p
AILST
Okay, found it! :) Is there a chance that we can talk about changing the logo?
Interesiting Name... I use to play my games with the Empire Name: "Terran Federation" ... How do I join? link plz :D
Hmm... I remember that there was a beta for Patch 1.04. When it came out it ran smooth. Then again there was no beta for Patch 1.05 and when it came out it always crashed on everybodies machine until a fixing patch came... From that I think I do not want to betatest it...
I usually play with random AI-alignments and so can sometimes become evil without having to fear someting... hmm actually sometimes means in all of the last 3 victorious games... In only one tiny game the Yor managed to stay alive longer than the others.
What is with my post? Are you drunken? I don't get what you'r trying to say... Well, I have to admit that english is not my native language and that I had to look up what "hilarious" means but still did not know how that is to be understood... :( [Message Edited]
No, I think only when you conquer em...
It's the same as for the minors... But majors often surrender before getting totally wiped out so you'll see it less often but still enough that I am worried why you think there's no sequence for them. Maybe you thought it's a major, when it was a minor?
You lost on Cakewalk? How??? I started a game to test it and set my spend rating to 0%... Then I hit Enter until there were only 2 races left who were close to me and would ally if I had the tech... That was in 2240... Well, starting as Universalists who have a 25% luck bonus I got 4 Rangers in that time preventing the enemies of thinking I am weak. However... That's >600 turns of doing nothing and I did not loose then I had a CTD but no more desire to reload an autosave and contiue. So
I don't know what all of the tradegoods do, but I know the most important and that in general it is always good to have them... I also still do not remember all technologies I need to get to Interstellar Tactics... :notsure:
@Arturus Magi: It's not easy but still possible. And since that is one of the things anounced for the expansion pack discussing about it is quite pointless... I definetly do not agree about the point with the ability to power smaller ships up to be able beating bigger ships. That adds a lot of fun for me and is what the resource-system is thought for. What exactly is so hard about managing colonies in larger than medium galaxies? That's what Mr. Ford is for... Ship ma
Can you share which AI decided to die to you in a blaze of glory?
It were the Arceans who decided to die to me in a blaze of own stupidness. @Astax: It would've been hard if they had not taken all their transports filled with most of their population out of their orbit before building something with better defensive capabilities. @vincible: I think it works as long as you are the one to declare war. When they declare war, they are usually prepared well enough
I just played a game on a tiny map with rare systems and one AI. They started in an adjactant sector and so I chose trying to rush them. You know why it worked? The AI pulled out all of it's Transports out of the system after I lost my first fighter on one of their transports. The remaining Colony Ship and Constructor were an easy deal for my second fighter and without their pop one Transport of mine were enough. I guess that's an issue to be looked at... An AI with so many adv
When you have no control over your senate you also cannot declare wars...
In my latest submission I experienced these 4 bugs: 1. Culture Countdown did not start After the Drengin surrendered to me, I owned 98,6% of the galaxy and the victory conditions list showed 12 month. However, I did not get the message that it's one year to go, neither the countdown counted down until I reloaded a savegame. 2. The music stopped playing I had this in the game before... where I played as evil aswell... So it seems it only happens with the evil music. After reloadin
I think it's like that: if (Alliancevictoty()==true) then iVictorytpe=1; if (Techvictoty()==true) then iVictorytpe=2; ... That means whatever is the latter in the sourcecode will be your victorytype... no possibility for something strange to happen since the other victorytype will be overwritten and therefore ignored! Once you installed startdock central and registered, I can not imagine an easier way of updating! Launch SDC, klick the lil' update button for Galciv and wait for the update to apply...
From what I read hear the game is of no interest for me. - "like AOE" -> all factions are nearly the same - "never depleting resources" -> expanding is quite pointless - "less micromanagement" -> skill is rather useless So for RTS I am gonna continue playing SC and WC3 which have very different faction, the need to look for new resources and require skill to be good.
He did not downgrade it far enough to be at war... it was between wary and warm...
Only thing is, how hard do you think it would be, compared to say a game where ALL AIs were on bright or intelligent or something?
Hmm... well than you maybe should not play that setting... While eventually easier than a Maso game, I think it's still harder than a game where everybody is set to Genius...
- decrease your spend rating - sell technologies especially to minors - build freighters and send them to your friends
@RayChua: And what does that have to do with Maso? You can't trade with the Increadible AIs but of course with the others. I am quite certain that on Maso you can trade with the minors but if I shall be wrong with that I am sorry... Yes, I agree with what vincible says: With only one Demonic Increadible AI and the others set off it would be even harder but I did get that 1 Incr, others Normal or Sub-Normal with all on random and did not bother playing with only 1 race but for that one C
The Normals will not nearly expand as fast as you or the Increadible-AI and are hardly any factor... So there's no real threat for the Increadible guy, they have to think about when they declare war on you! But tell me what Maso nerfs you are speaking about, I don't know anything that is not determined by the Level of a single AI but by the overall difficulty... I'd also like to see it as a GOTM... Sadly I don't have a 1st turns save of my game where it was like this and the D
Yes, seen this aswell... An AI without fleet is too much willing to give planets for peace... I've seen the I-League giving me all but 1 planet for peace... I get these planets with massive population then as highly productive worlds... And the left 1 planet that was taken by the Torians(Bright) culturefliped later aswell... They also surrender to fast! They Drengin(Genius) could have damaged the economy of their enemies (me and the Torians(Bright)) a bit by letting them invade... <
After reading some of the posts here, especially the Huge Masochistic win of Staffa, where he did not fire a single shot, I get more and more the impression that more than 1 Increadible AI is easier to be beat than 1 alone... What do you think, Staffa or anyone else of those with a 1.05 Masochistic-Victory: Can you win a game with Increadible Drengin and the others set to normal on an at least medium-sized map?
