I hope my many postings in the bug-report-thread don't make me look as if I don't like the game... When they patched something in 1.04, that I had brought up, that made me finally see: Wow, you really do have an influence on the game you like so much and you really can help them to make you like it even more! That's why I started putting every little issue that I don't like and not have seen reported yet into that thread. ;)

Not an actual bug, but how comes that I can see the Spend-power pieces of cake in the bottom left, without having contact? I don't want to see from the beginning on who's the strongest and so on... It spoils my fun a bit... Maybe i'll put a sticker on my monitor for that purpose... but a change in the code to see it only for races you have contract with would be better.
Can we randomise difficulty? Didn't think we could.
Of course we can, we always could! What did you think are the little dices next to the Alignment and Intelligence Adjusters for? I love that feature because when I select a certain difficulty setting I know that I'd lose or win before even starting the game but with setting it to a random one it's more exciting for me! However, one thing I don't like when doing that is the little "cake" in the bottom left in

Yesterday I started a game with all AI's on random (alignment as well as intelligence). Arceans: Intelligent, Pure Good Altarians: Bright, Pure Good Torians: Sub-Normal, Neutral Yor: Beginner, Chaotic Evil Drengin: Fool, Neutral The Arceans were stuck with 2 systems because they had the Alexians and Drengin blocking their path and so the Altarians were the Superpower all the time and soon enough my Ally. From that point I knew I would win! When I

I don't want sliders for every planet but I really like the idea of the thread-creator... If nthing is selected in one of the producing fields, it should be treated for that planet like the spending for it was 0 and equally share the leftover between what's not nothing. The only problem I see is that the AI got so used to it as it is now, that they had to change someting there...

I don't think it's easier! I played a game with all AI's set to random alignment and intelligence. I had a tough and very long lasting war with the torians until a crash occured (reason already posted in bug report thread). Since I had autosave set to off (now it's on again) and my last savegame was very long ago, I started a new game and saw, that they only had normal intelligence! Before 1.04 I won 2 all intelligent games and in my 1st 1.04 with same settings I got slaughtered.

Did you notice that deals that gonna work become green? You could always know if they'd take it before actually asking. When you can offer an alliance, they already are "close" towards you and are quite likely to accept the alliance. To get someone close, it helps to have a similar alignment, to be big, to have trade-routes with em, to make deals were they get more than they give. In 1.03 I found it to be much easier to achieve Alliance Victory than it is now.

I think there's something wrong with the payment of longer deals specifically 1 turn deals... In my game I wanted to buy 2 starbases from the drengin. I offered ~12k (all I had) but they refused. I increased duration from 0 to 1 turn and reduced the amount of money to ~8k. That was acceptable for em. I lost 8k immediately but I never lost the other 8k... so please check, if everything is right with those deals. I had that effect twice (the other time I bought lots of

Okay, 2 more things... 1st ain't actually a bug but quite annoying design lack... Wonders and Tradegoods shall have another color or something like that if another planet already builds em! I always have to look up if I already have it in the build or not. And when another empire finishes em before me, than I should either be brought to the planet to select a new project or Mr.Fords list shall be further worked down. Now the bug... I had a crash to desktop, when the Torians invaded one

When you save a game in the last turn and you have nothing left, no valid savegame is created (it creates one, but the folder belonging to it is empty). You might ask: "Why would one want to save when one's nothing left?" Answer: Quote from the rules of 1st Masochistic Challenge 8) Everyone uploads http://apolyton.net/upload archive of a save of a last turn (register on Apolyton forums first to bee able to upload files), so that you need just press 'turn' button

Okay, here's my next one: In a game on medium/common 4 AI's at Stupid, Yor at Increadible, I sold a lot of techs to the Drengin for a lot of money. But then they surrendered to me. I would expect that the tribute (155 bc for 26 month were dealt out) would stop flowing, but it did not! Conclusion: Check if a race is still existent before the tribute they paid when they were alive is still handed over to the receivers.

So then what did Ellestar mean by "Rush 2 Increadible AI's" I mean that's pretty damn hard and he says it, as if is only the choice to do so needed and nothing else...

What version are you playing? In the earlier versions I think the AI always played with the war-party which gives +50% HP to their ships. Now it's somewhat random which party they start with. Note that you can increase the HP's of your ships by other ways too... There are certain techs that grant you more HP's, there are Shipyards and such that can be combined to increase your ships HPs and there's an Event, that can, if you take the evil choice, also increase your ships HP's.

a plenty minimap issues: Starbases... why do I have to remember their positions or park a freighter near them just to see they're there? A starbase usually does not change its position unless it becomes a Terror Star, so the enemy starbases shall be seen on the minimap once scouted and only disappear when they become a TS or are destroyed! It's ridiculous (but cool), that I can see if a planet is defended or not by the brightness of its color on the minimap but not to remember where sta
