Personally, I'd prefer the game use the limited resources of my computer to figure out how I'm going to stomp my AI opponent into the ground in the next 10 turns because I have set up a pincer with two large fleets stationed on planets adjacent to his homeworld rather than worry about keeping track of the statistics of a single "special" unit.

This game isn't in beta, file this crap under suggestions for somehting else. The first expansion will be in beta before long... In fact, there may be as many as 2 expansions for GC 2. Heroes will probably be in GalCiv eventually. If you have a problem with that, then that's your problem.
Does anyone know what the actual "numbers" are for what the different levels of population effect moral? Try this: https://www.galciv2.com/Journals.aspx?AID=102519
Citizen Legato107: I dont see a place where they would fit in, nor is Brad going to go out of his way to add a bunch of MOO2s features to his game. Ahem: [19:40.22] (GreenReaper) (Cdawg) Q: When does
Dark Avatar will have VASTLY expanded espionage and covert features. That is some sweet news indeed.
but the frequency & severity of bugs is abnormally large for a mainstream commercial product. Not true. Name a game of this type that did not have at least as many bugs on release as GC2. You can't. Civ IV had much worse problems and is more mainstream than GC.
Frogboy: Your research ability? It's chopped in half for the same reason. I don't have a problem with research getting chopped in half, I have a problem with the game not telling me this. If a 50% research bonus is actually a 25% bonus then please label it a 25% bonus. Otherwise you're guaranteeing a continuous stream of confused people sh
Hey, what about the Neutrality Learning Centers! They are supposed to be in the game, but aren't, right? I was wondering the same thing.
I looked but didn't turn up the exact post you're refering to. However, based on some related comments I suspect it currently only works in debug mode.
At one point shortly after it's release Diablo 2 had around 200 known bugs. Although there are a few gameplay bugs in GC 2 that I think there may be no good excuse for, the overall number and severity is not bad.
features of moo2 that would be nice in gc2. 1. Heroes/Leaders. 2. Detailed espianage 3. The music. GC2 has good music, and a lot more of it than MOO2, but I really liked that spacy/serene melody. 4. Elerians. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/BigSmile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle
Just give me the exact names of the process you mentioned, so can check wether it's spyware or not. sdmcp.exe.
I'll third that motion. I know one of the other devs said it wouldn't take much effort to enable this for the everyone.
Can someone from Stardock clarify how it's supposed to work? If I had a nickle...
What I've noticed that's odd is that when you hit the next turn button after loading a save, the date does not advance. Ships will move but it's still the same week.
bah, my last game took 3 days.. who's going to play a gigantic galaxy with you ? I will, but it would have to be PBEM. Something like the Pitboss feature in Civ IV.
The kind of multiplayer that makes the most sense for GC2 is something like the Pitboss feature in Civ IV, with simultaneous turns. Has anybody tried that? I've been thinking about getting Civ IV just for that feature.
It's the debug.err file.
I don't think so. AFAIK the only thing the AI looks at is where you are on the miltary graph relative to itself.
Social Production Bonus. The Social production bonus ability that is documented but not in the game is in the game now. That's great! But I gotta ask: what about the Population Growth and Research bonuses? As has been discussed extensively, pop growth is capped and therefore useless and Research bonus works very differently than what the in-gam
I play with all 9 on gigantic, but even there someone always gets stuck in a corner with nowhere to go... sometime it's me But I like the variety and complexity.
Under the planet details screen, if I remember correctly. Nope, it's not there. I don't think it's in the game right now.
Here's my situation...I'm using the Terrans, and my home planet, Earth, is insanely unhappy. I have a 30% approval rating, 22.5 billion people, 1 Xeno Farming that has a 300% bonus, 3 multimedia centers, 1 Advanced Market, 1 Starport, 1 Factory on 100% manufacturing tile, 1 Factor on 300% manufacturing tile, 1 Research Center, 1 Restaurant of Eternity on 100% influence til
I did this playing GC1. I'm sure I wasn't the first.
Upgrading from Virtual Reality Centers to Zero G Arenas decreases your moral bonus instead of increasing it.
