They actually do, in the Readme. file.

In my game the lights don't appear on most planets, but they do on a few. I'm don't know what determines if they appear or not.
I can confirm that Social Production is completely broken after the patch and Research may be bugged as well. Make a custom race with no bonuses in production or research and start a game. Set taxes to 50 and spending to 100. Output on the homeword for military production, social production and research is 8-7-8 respectively (shouldn't it be 8-8-8?) Start another game with +50 military production bonus and output is at 12-7-8. This makes sense: 50% of 8 is 4, 4+8=12. <
Sure, techwhoreing works. That's how a lot of top GC1 players played the game and I do it to a lesser extent (I just make sure and keep a few choice tech to myself until I see an AI researching it and then I sell it to everyone the week before they complete the research... including to the civ researching it MUHAHAHAH). It's just kind of annoying, IMO, when everyone is at the same tech level because the AIs sell everything they get.
Really? So far you could count on one hand the number of offers I've recieved in my game that's in 2228. It may be bugged, or I've just been very unlucky. Is the AIs trading with the Pirates a bug? I thought everyone was always at war with the Pirates. Is there some way for the player to trade with the Pirates in GC2?
Debug Message: Year: 2227. Torian Confederation traded Titanium Armor III to the Scottlingas in exchange for Beam Weapon Theory I think a lot of the madness could be avoided if the AIs traded with each other using the same rules they use when trading with the player...
I get the flashing also... as I mentioned in the FIRST thread you started on this same subject https://forums.galciv2.com/?ForumID=162&AID=102734
That leaves 1/3 unaccounted for. And what about social? Although they may not crash the game, these could be significant bugs.
Note that the fixlist on the Wargamer site is out of date. They've added some more fixes today. https://forums.galciv2.com/?ForumID=164&AID=102455
It don't get stuttering, but the animation window will briefly flash white for a split second. This happens maybe every 20 or 30 seconds. Only happens with Yor. Geforce 6800 GT 81.95 drivers
I would like to see some way of curbing the madness. The problem is some players like techwhoring and they will be sure to bitch if we cramp their style.
Not out yet. Frogboy said in about an hour or so.
Bug. https://forums.galciv2.com/?ForumID=164&AID=102455 Hopefully fixed today, but maybe not.
Is there any way to get the mini-map, once zoomed in, to move with the main map so both keep the same central point of focus? I get the mini-map to re-center to the main map focus by a quick zoom out, zoom in two-step. If it followed automatically, that would be great! Yes! That annoys me immensely, especially on a gigantic map.
Espianoge is the most uninteresting part of the game. With destabilization gone it's even less than GC1, which was very basic already. I hope to see it fleshed out in an expansion. From Frogboy's comments in the last chat I think that will happen.
I'd like to see the tooltips fixed so that they appear when you first put the mouse over the object. As it is now, you put the mouse over the object, THEN you have to move the mouse a second time a small distance while keeping it over the object. Diagonal scrolling would be nice too. Making the "lights" you add on to ships actually emit their own light would be cool as heck. P
Found this gem in the debug rile: Debug Message: Year: 2228. Scottlingas traded Galactic Stock Exchanges to the Pirates! in exchange for Impulse Drive Mark III Didn't think that was possible.
All the majors will flip if you bomb them with culture (assuming they don't build the no flip project). Does that include the Yor? They have 100% loyalty in GC2.
Yep, same as GalCiv 1. When you looked at the endgame stats after a GC1 game you would see that most AI civs only researched maybe 1/5 of the techs they aquired. In fact , if anything I think the GalCiv 2 AIs are even more shameless techwhores than GC1. I've noticed that even though there may be big differences in how much various AI civs are spending on research they all have the same tech level because as soon as one of them researches something it gets traded to all the rest within
Yes, this is what I do It's what the AI does too. Here's a clip from my debugg.err file: Debug Message: Year: 2227. Drath Legion traded Laser V to the Scottlingas in exchange for Starbase Defenses Debug Message: Year: 2227. Paulos traded Stinger II to the Yor Collective in exchange for Basic Miniaturization Debug M
No mods. Currently 100% stock. Barriers is the defense module you get when you research Shields.
Playing AP 1.52b.013. There are a couple of odd things wrong with it. First, where is the Smuggling tech? AFAIK, AP has all the techs in GC 1.22 plus a couple more. Yet, I cannot research it even though I have the prerequisites: Trade tech and alignment of 30 or less (my alignment is 1 :p ). Second, the Barriers defensive module doesn't work. When I upgrade a starbase the description for Barriers says "String not found" :SURPRISED: If I select Barriers anyway it does not ch
It's one of the traits you can pick at the beginning of the game.
I get this crash too, although it is thankfully only every 3-4 hours of play on my system, sometimes longer. Athlon XP 3200 Abit AN7 (Nforce 2 Ultra chipset) Nvidia SoundStorm sound Phoenix 6.00pg BIOS Geforce FX 5900 WinXP SP2 Latest drivers for everything. [Message Edited]
