Ok, scratch that. Somehow, my AP was still version 1.50, even though SC said it was 1.52. I reinstalled AP and it now says 1.52 on the options screen too. One bug that I am noticing even with the newest version is that the Torians are ALWAYS neutral. I can set them to any alignment I want in the setup screen, but they are always listed as neutral in-game.

Quite certain. There are at least two neutral civs in my current game sporting them, one of them being the Carinoids who are always neutral. The are no good-aligned civs in my current game.

I'm at a loss, here. I did everything suggested. I uninstalled and reinstalled GalCiv and AP. I downloaded the default Microsoft codecs. I installed the Bink tools. I ran checkdisk (error correction) and defraged my harddrive. I installed the latest drivers. When that didn't work I rolled back to some older video drivers I used last year on my other system that had worked good with GalCiv. The end result of this is that it is still crashing all over the place. The only differen

I have the latest version of GalCiv AP (1.52b). I can't play for more than a few minutes without a crash. I have Smartexeption running but although it pops up after the crashes the window is always blank. So that's not working right either. For what it's worth, Windows gives the following information on the crashes: AppName: galciv.exe AppVer: 1.0.0.1 ModName: binkw32.dll ModVer: 1.5.11.0 My system: ------------------ System Information ---

Something that bothers me about AP is that the Korx, Drath and Drengin all have the same color on the mini-map: red. You can't tell them apart. Is there any way to change the colors?

I think I've run across the bug where trade routes go dead, but it wasn't my trade routes. In my currect game the trade route screen shows the Drengin having 3 trade routes to me, but when I click on the tab in the negotiations screen that shows what percent of their income is from trade it says they get 0% of their trade from me, suggesting the trade routes are not working. A mini-freigher for one of these routes is permanently parked next to a Drengin system. If I click on it, it says it will

AP v 1.51Two things I've noticed -- both probably bugs. 1) If you save a game after the UPC passed resolution that should last for 3 years, when you reload, it no longer shows up as an enforced law -- even if the time limit has yet to expire
In my games I'm not seeing passed resolutions show up in the window EVER. It's completely broken as far as I can tell. Also on the same screen: in the small window in the upper right with the pie char

"In my last game, the Yor were the superpower. They also formed an alliance with the Drengin and wipped out all good and neutral AIs...including me." Exact same thing happened in my last game (Painfull, large). Except the Yor and Drengin were neutral and everyone else was good. The Yor were were a juggernaught in that game, but they did benefit from an exceptional starting position. [Message Edited] [Message Edited]

Very interesting. I hadn't heard of Savage or Stalker before reading this. Thanks for the heads up! One minor correction: Although the makers of X-Com began development of UFO: Aftermath (under the name Freedom Ridge), it is now being made by a different team.
