LOL I know, LOL My point was there is a lot of different topics in these forums. There are no rules laid out by stardock. There is no active moderator. There are 3 forums that make sense. MODS, Empires and Strategy. Most of the proper posts go here but as everyone knows there are exceptions all over the place. My point is, if posts to the wrong forums bothered the wonderful people at stardock then there would be moderators.
Have you look at this thread? LinkPerharps it should be sticky.
keeps coming up with an error.
If you guys are going to be recruiting in the main forum then the pact between empires to recruit in the empires forum only is a farce...
Huh? :notsure: What pact? Qwerk, I think that you are taking this to far. You are not the forums moderator. I see no wrong. Stardock obviously sees no wrong. In fact the use of these forums are only a guideline as far as I can tell. The strategy forum has about 90% strategy post. The main forum (this one
also remember that the propper place to post these messages are in the empire forum.. if you post it in there and don't get a responce then and its urgent that you need to contact them then you could post a message (short and direct.. to that person) to look at your link to the message in the empires forum...I didn't set these rules.. I'm just trying to obey them and help others do the same...
What rules? I have never seen these rules posted. There are no sticky notes
Unfortunatly that is correct... as Stardock hasn't seen fit to give the epires emperors access to their members email addresses..
This is called privacy, I am sure that many people like their privacy and would not want stardock or any other company to give out this type of information without their ok. If someone wants to contact you they can do it through the forums. If they do not answer a general call or contact you they either may not participate i
Not in any game I've played lately. Last game for me, they all belonged to the 3 planet I colonized.
interesting, I wonder if there are rules to determine the planet that they go to. For me as far as I know its always been earth.
Population is one of the elements to a higher score. People playing large, huge, gigantic maps never have to worry about this when shooting for the 60K score. When I am trying to get 60K on a Medium map I try to conquer all the AI including the Minors. When I finish a game that is slightly below 60K I can usually load up a save that happened just before the endgame and spin out another years worth of turns doing research to get another tech or two and by keeping my morale at
And for the freighters, if you trade for another civ's freighter, what planet is it considered to be from when it establishes a trade route?
Doesn't look like this was answered. When you trade for another civs freighter it belongs to Earth your starting planet. I don't know which planet it belongs to if you loose earth though.
You've played three at easy, three at cakewalk, two at simple, one at beginner... It would take about ninety maso games to recover from that.
Is this just what you have deduced or did you hear this from stardock?
I remember that there were 5 of us in the embedded software department that used OS/2. Many of the features that were in that OS were far in advance of anything microsoft had. Shortly after Windows 95 came out the entire company switched to 95 and we were forced to abandon OS/2. Sad day!
A good way to check on what bonuses are in effect for a planet is to click on the "Details" button, which is in the lower right.
Good point. I do this without thinking about it all the time. I am glad that you mentioned it. [Message Edited]
I liked Os/2. I have Warp and both OS/2 Galciv versions.
I am actually starting to wonder if the shield and morality are working in the metaverse. I think that I should have had a blue face and higher shield value by now.
Also I wanted to thank Stardock for this amazing game - I love the fact, that you could never say what´ll happen. Around 2189 I was pretty sure that I am going to loose the game, but things changed and had my greatest victory so far!
Good Victory, I usually play good or try to. I have seen the Fundamentalists many times. They can be a great help in turn a game to your advantage.
CariElf can you change the Emperor for The Foundation from me (Newfyscotian) to Technician? Thank you
I am another that has been playing GC since the OS/2 days. Anyone still have OS/2 on their machines? Duel boot mode?
We have our ... Ahem! I mean I have heard that the CSF has its own brewery run by Damoose. The CSF makes a top quality beer and gives it away free at the CSF functions. This has the effect of keeping Damoose in Snacks for a very long time. :SURPRISED: ;)
John, as you have started to figure out several empires are in decline. There is a rather interesting discussion about that in this http://www.galciv.com/forum.asp?BID=GF&id=186876#187950. Please understand I am not trying to recruit you. I just noticed that you have read this thread. Also there is an alternate metaverse that holds statistics on who is playing in the metaverse. Unfortunately it only holds the current month and previous month take a look http://altmeta.galciv.org/emp
LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL O'kay, I am setting up a party. The beer is no problem as you might imagine the CSF stocks are always full. We will be handing out our new pamplet for 2 free sessions to the SA meetings now held every Monday and Thursday night. Remember refreshements are always free. We do this to see if the snacks ... :SURPRISED: I mean SA members have learned anything during the 12 step program. To give everyone a fair chance I am going to have the hair
Thank god that I am an honorary Guardian ... LOL Just doing my part to keep this thread active. :HOT:
I myself have been on at least 4 empires. Sort of hopping from one to another. When I left the Anzacs it was because I disagreed with their direction. When I left the CSF it was because I felt like I was the only person playing. I know that there were others but the empire had stagnated too much. I guess what I am trying to say is empire movement (hopping) will happen. Sometimes for reasons that are understood and sometimes not. It is never my intention to bring do
markos2, at this time the metaverse has no way of knowing if Mods were used. I personally would like to see a Metaverse that only allowed submissions from games that are not modded. But, Stardock certifies the good mods and playing with those mods can give an enjoyable and different version of the game. Please try them out. I only started using mods myself after almost a year of playing the game. One other thing, what book was the Sixth colum refered to? [Message E
Sixth Column
I like this name. For me I think that this beats the System Lords. Tech, anyone else have an opinion?
Hmmm... I was always thinking (didnt check out though) that Shipyard would yield a 15% increase in Hitpoints, not in Attack and Defense rates. :notsure: :notsure: Are you sure?
It has been my experience that it is attack and defense and not hitpoints. This is easy to find out though, just examine your ship once it is built by a planet with and a planet without the ship yard.
Ok, guys this is madness. An anti-Guardians empire? This place is just happy competition, not dragging a bunch of good people through the mud because they have done well.
VoT, I do not understand where you get the idea that we are proposing an Anti-Guardians empire. I for one like the guardians. Every person that has contributed to any of the forums has done so with HONOR. This empire that we are talking about building is to be an empire that contains active
