I only remember the forbidden donut episode.... haven't seen a forbidden pizza one. Now were you trying to "elevate" your boredom, or "alleviate" it?

(This is sort of inspired by Mignuna's "Big. Fake. Boobs." article; I'd been pondering this for a while, but her post was a catalyst for me to make public my own observations.) So why is it that women's boobs get all the attention? And I don't just mean getting stared at, I mean being talked about. Yes, a lot of men (myself included) enjoy the occasional li
Nothing like watching the continuing devolution of higher education through the increasingly liberal liberal arts programs....
I always like to deal in nice, round thousands. There is no harm in asking, especially if you can back it up with "Well, I've been making $X already and I'd really like to stay at that level or move up a bit." What you definitely want to avoid is backing yourself into a corner. I had a guy I interviewed once, I made him an offer of $Y, he countered with "Can you m
Oh, I'm a big believer in having multiple copies of anything good that I write. (Comes from 15 years of System Administration.) I've got it here on JU and on my own hard drive, and soon I will write it in Ann's journal for Krystal.
Reading stuff and making comments on other peoples' articles should be something you "get out of" JU, not something you "put into" it. I didn't even write an article of my own for probably 3 or 4 months, I just didn't want to be stuck with the "(anonymous)" tag after every comment I made. Bottom line, though, if you're frustrated by it, don't enjoy it, and don't see it coming around in good time, you should take a break and re-evaluate your r
Drat, you have me at a disadvantage. (Never seen "28 days later".) Nice job on AoD, though!
Bedtime for Krystal Okay, little squirmy one The day is over with, it's done. It's time for you to go to bed and calm your squirmy little head. Okay, little wiggly one The time is past for having fun. It's time for baby's eyes to shut and rest your wiggly little butt. Okay, little active one The time for sleeping
Sounds fun, but if I were to sign up, you'd have the pro, 3 high school nancyboys, and the utter abecedarian.
"If you have 5 apples and Little Susie has 2 pairs, you better fold."--Cleveland Amoritization. Waaaait a minute... 5 apples (i.e. a heart flush) EASILY beats 2 pair! Don't trust Cleve! He must be some kind of card shark, out to destroy your poker-playing abilities!
I'm 5' 11", but my ego is big enough for a 60-footer....
You would be, if you didn't select the "Movies" (or is it "Multimedia"?) option underneath the main Disciples 2 download. I've seen plenty of opening narratives and voiced-over mission setups. The movies are separated out because they're a very large download by themselves and aren't required for gameplay, so if you just wanted to get started with the game on a slower connection you wouldn't need to wait the extra hours for the eye candy before y
Then there's the age-old classic: Here I sit all broken-hearted, came to shit, and only farted. Thought I had a second chance-- Went to fart, and shit my pants.
Yay, we have a new stand-alone freezer now! Of course all our salvaged meat is stuck in a friend's house while she's away for the weekend, but at least we can admire the nice, steady chill in our shiny new box.
my wife plays flute...and piccolo Hmmm... not exactly a resounding endorsement in this context. Perhaps she should take up trombone....
My family took some pretty extensive driving vacations when I was younger....
If you have a bootable CD drive, you can try the KNOPPIX distribution of Linux. Boots directly from the CD, doesn't futz with your hard disk at all, no need to worry about anything. Of course Linux is only the most popular alternative; you could also get a Macintosh, or run any of several other Unix variants (FreeBSD, Minix, HURD, etc.), or even something like OS/2 Warp (or eComServer as they're now calling the latest version).
Well, I went out to Sears yesterday and bought a new stand-alone freezer. (Actually, I suppose it's more of a "sit-alone" freezer, since it's the "chest" style, top-opening kind.) Should be here in the next hour or two. (Ann has the day off, she'll let me know when it's arrived.) If we're careful, we can still cool our sodas and other stuff. The fridges I looked at at Sears that are comparable to our current one, though, were all in the
Take deep breaths. Have a mental list of the things you want to get across about yourself. Remember, it's just a conversation, you don't need to treat it that differently than any other conversation you have.
The only one I'm really aware of is "Jesse James Days", in Northfield, MN; wherein they celebrate the fact that Jesse James tried (and failed) to rob the bank, eventually leading to his being captured. (And he failed in spite of the fact that the vault door was not actually locked when he came in to rob it! Always check the knob before you try to break a door down.)
Hey, no fair! You guys already used all the best superlatives! Now I have to delve into the dregs of synonymity and comparatives.... Mignuna is da bomb! She's the bloggiest of them all. Her writing is fantasmagorical and her style is better than Halle Berry on Oscar night.
John Bobbitt's a funny old coot; at one time, he was really a neut. But his re-attached dick works just dandy and slick; now his blow jobs sound just like a flute.
Oh, by all means feel free to goggle at my incredible talent and gush over how amazing I am. It didn't set out to be a saga, I just kept finding another thing to add on to it. Apparently I wrote it all over the course of 6 days in May 1992. I'd guess each individual limerick was the result of no more than 10, or maybe 15 minutes' effort, though.
Also, If manufacturs aren't allowed to make this weaponry, and you can't import it, then how do you expect criminals to get their hands on banned assault weapons? Hmm, perhaps by engaging in criminal activities such as smuggling and fencing. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor
I'm going to just nitpick a couple of things... It's "eye-teeth", which are more commonly referred to as canines. And in chess, a piece touched is not a move made, it's merely a commitment that the piece touched is the one that will be moved (unless you say "j'adoube" to indicate that you're just straightening up the board). It's when you release the piece that the move is well and truly made. Anyway, it also seems to me that prov
