Well, I can't help you with the ranking system, but maybe I can offer something to you. I don't know why your terror star did not attack the star, but I do know that you have to be at war with that race before you can destroy it. You can download mods and still submit to the Metaverse, but be careful ... too much of something can cause an "Anomalous" score. Too high a PQ and it will trigger an anomalous score, for example. Those Drengin ... If they are bothering you, I'm sure s

Good luck, B, on your upcoming game. Diplo, Speed, and Soldiering are some of my favorite picks. Populists (or pacifists? I can't remember) are a good party for maso. Keep everyone else at war, stay neutral if possible. Let's see ... Culture resist, culture boosters, morale boosters ... anything like that will help. ~SDC~

Personally, I would love to see better diplomacy and spies. Let the spies destroy ships and buildings, or make a ship defect, or steal money ... something. Lowering morale just doesn't float my boat. :notsure: Imperium Galactica II had a fun spy system, IMO. Don't get me wrong, GalCiv is still a great game, just a little light in a few areas for the "hardcore" player. ~SDC~

No, Wild Wombat, I was just recalling that on maso you can forget trading for money for any length of time. I was not "having a go" by any means. :) Thanks Ray. That is good to know. ~SDC~ [Message Edited]

Congratulations on your 19K win. That's tough. The Gigantic ones take me days to finish. I busted through a Huge galaxy in less than two. Huge ones are much easier to manage as well. Getting late, brain, shutting down ... must ... sleep. ;) ~SDC~

I, for one, am always glad to see a +Soldiering ability. ;) The Invasion Tactic looks good too. I have not yet tried them in the game, but I will as soon as I get a chance. ~SDC~

If you don't mind throwing 5 constructors and 5000 BC away, go ahead and use them. I only use them to move resources or occasionally move a Party Palace around the smaller galaxies. Almost worthless on the big galaxies. I do believe that a terror star should not be a SB upgrade, but a separate unit in itself. Just my 2 bc. :) ~SDC~

I've seen quite a few posts where people are getting x# BC for 50+ months. I can't seem to get above 50 months max. Is there something that I am completely missing here? :SURPRISED: I'm using version 1.05. ~SDC~

It essential to your survival to have the AIs busy destroying each other instead of you. I make sure that every single Major AI is constantly at war (if I can help it). They don't have to be at war with multiple AIs, but just at war with SOMEONE (not me). ;) Be careful pitting weak AIs against a strong AI, as they can be easily defeated and absorbed into the major AI, making them even stronger (Doh!). When trading, don't forget the value of Influence Points. They can give you t

I love the Carinoids. They are sooo hard to flip. I trade with them exclusively and gift them all kinds of things to keep them alive. I had them right next to my home sector that had something like 3 million influence and there were planets flipping 15 sectors away and the Carinoids didn't even get the skull. Amazing. They will flip eventually, but it's very hard. The best Minor ever! ~SDC~

I just finished my Huge/Maso and scored a lot better than my last Gigantic/Maso. This time instead of 5 pure good AIs against me (pure evil), I took everyone as pure evil. Much better score. I did notice that most of my points came from my economy and society scores (10K each), while researching all techs only got me 6K. The other catagories were about the same. Looks like I'm going to make sure I have a happy populace with lots o' cash before I "win" from now on. ;) I think t
