Starbases affecting a specific area - would that be for current 1-sector bonuses (like +speed modules), or current empire-wide bonuses (like +research)? About asteroid fields and space terrain - that does open up some interesting combat possibilities. Maybe have ships hiding in an asteroid field get the first attack roll, even if they're the ones being attacked? Ships in a nebula can't be seen unless another ship's next to them? The only thing I'm worried about is getting lots
-I'll buy Drengin.net if there's an XPaxk (what I'd do)
I'd probably be in that boat myself. One thought about the extra races - instead of more major races, it might be fun to have lots more minor races activated in the beginning of a game. Maybe even have some options for the minor's expansionist desires - at low levels, they behave like now, often powerful but happy to stay on their own planet. At high levels, they'll colonize as quickly as everyone else (thou
Heh, I'm too used to adding my trash on the posse thread. :) But maybe if we got a website for stories set up, people could read some of the classic stories on all the empire threads out there without reading the recruiting propoganda.
Damn, Wombie, that's a painful present to give him. :D
Recruitment ads, hey? Cool, I've got something to think about at work tomorrow... ;)
Wow, this newspaper's getting as big as most paper newspapers. I'm impressed - keep it up! :CONGRAT:
Well, if they plan to analyse all the save games we've sent them, a neural net's just one of many machine learning techniques they could use. (These ones working on save games could learn by themselves, but are limited to predicting a player actions given a player's playing history.) There's two different things for an AI to do: put together a full picture of the opponent's situation from limited information, and then figure out the best action to take. Two very different processes coul
Luke might cut off an ice-bear's hand, but he'd never shove his lightsaber up the bear's... And I thought that Fat Pizza porn was bad - dude, you're sick :p
ROFL, Obi-Wan - that's the best call I've heard in a long time! LOL LOL LOL
Hasn't she had enough game birds? I think she'd be happier with some prime Aussie beef :)
Maybe doing that sort of thing would get all the remaining UP members to ally and declare war on you :)
We must bring Threadzilla fresh souls to devour, else we will be the first to get eaten. Anyone see the movie "The Ring"? This sounds awfully familiar...
I thought it was an ad for Coronas :p (killa's quote, i mean - my post makes no sense after hurley's one :) ) [Message Edited]
You forgot alien porn. ;) Oh well, I guess I'll have to do a bit more to promote our gambling services...
I think what people were complaining about was money allocated by the Military/Social/Research spending sliders not being spent. For example, if you set military spending to 10%, all the planets with ships to build will use 10% of production to build them, but planets without any ships to build will spend 10% of their production making nothing. That's been my biggest problem with the game for a while now. :notsure:
Obi-Wan nudged Hurley as CypherPax left. "What would he have done if he wanted to vote against me?" "He'd have dropped on you." "Okay, what if he hadn't made his mind up yet?" "He'd have dropped on you." "And if -" "He'd have dropped on you." Obi-Wan scratched his head. "I don't understand this pirate culture yet." "Patience, young padawan." Hurley said as he reached towards towards the bottle of Bundy. --- I thought Tolken was the non-human, and Tol
TheQuack, does that mean we can expect lots of 'look behind you' comments :)
Hell, no. That'd spoil all the fun. If anything, I'd make things more fun. Maybe I'll pickpocket one of you, hide in the shadows, and watch as you argue about who did it and start fighting amongst yourselves. Now that's entertainment! :D
Your developed planets (which already have the first few buildings)will build soil enhancement once they finish whatever building they're working on

Not from what I have seen. If I add a new item to the top of the build queue, it changes all the planets build queues to get that new itme done like it is a priority.
Ah, I should have added that it only finishes the building it's working on if it's one you manually selected on that planet. My bad.
So how many non GROSS posts in a row do we need before we can say the thread has been hijacked. :)
I don't know. How many GROSS posts do you need on your thread before we can say we hijacked it? LOL Ray: You're just jealous, cause the only thing you can use for a "Fellowship Language" is Tolkien's runic alphabet. Well, go on then, learn it. Print your newsletter using it. September 20 can be "Talk Like An Ancient Dwarf" day. Y'arr. :p
I've gotta say, my governor makes life SO much easier. One of my biggest peeves with other civ/moo games was telling every single new colony every single building to add... >:( Just a quick explanation of how they work: think of the governor's queue as an "ideal build queue". When a planet's got nothing to build in the social queue, it looks at all the buildings in its build queue, and builds the first one it hasn't got. e.g. if the build queue says to add buildings A,B,C,D, a
I'll probably be too busy with work to sign up - maybe next time. Oh, well, I can sit on the sidelines, wave a flag, and boo at the goblins/trolls/bad dudes you're fighting :)

September 19th is gonna be a very good day on these forums LOL LOL LOL I found a couple other pirate lingo websites sometime, I'll have to look them up...
quack quack! (Well, what else was I going to say?) Looks like you've got enough votes! :CONGRAT: There's lots of cute little animal buggers you could choose - the flying guy who owns the shop in epI, the guy that sits on jabba's shoulder in ROTJ - hell, you could even be a jawa! That'd suit your desert cave, wouldn't it? Of course, if being transmorgrified would ruin your jedi career, you don't have to go through the machine :) Wombie - damn, yo
Telling the D&Ders it's all an illusion... oh, man, that was priceless! LOL Disappoint me? Say what? When I say the next chapter, I mean whatever gets posted next :) Obi - damn, that was a classic! Only other thing I wanted to see was Wombat skewer someone with the Crank and gain their powers :D
To be continued, as soon as I can figure out a way to do so without sounding like I'm ripping on Stardock.
Ah, don't worry about it, everyone's f
