lol, Ray, you're starting to sound desperate :p Pirates are much better suited to run the Metaverse underworld than pure evil people. After all, we do evil things for profit. They do evil things for the sake of evil. Send one of them to assassinate someone, and they'll probably just nuke their whole planet "for a larf". :p
I understand there is one listed on the Aussie Stock Exchange.
The Daily Planet, currently trading at A$0.97. I wouldn't mind if there was a small bonus with good choices or a small penalty for evil choices (e.g. letting your people get squashed by meteors could drop morale a tiny bit as well), but overall, I'm happy with the "good costs, evil pays" idea. Don't forget you get that kick-ass Trade Center if you take the good path. They might do something like have a small morale bonus based on alignment, empire-wide. The evil empires would have to build more morale buildings to keep people in line, and th

Oh, I get it! You add them together, and you get 600. 600 in Roman numerals is DC. He's trying to tell us he's from Washington DC! Do I win a prize for figuring that out, or what? Maybe he's using all these fake names and crypto text cause he's at work and doesn't want to get caught bludging around on the job. You know how those politicians have to keep their noses clean. Maybe it's... Hello, Mister President! I hope you enjoy this game.

So, instead of our system where all scores are counted, you just count scores in each-weight group? That's an interesting idea, very interesting. Only thing I'm not sure about is how the groups get split up. The difference between maso and crippling is much bigger than the other level differences imo. I wouldn't mind a ladder for each level, actually - maybe it could read in scores from one level above and below, so each ladder actually has three levels of scores read in - but the above

Just one thought about the good/evil thing - I'd like a way to change your morality without having to get random events. Not instantly, of course, but slowly. And it shouldn't be as "helpful" as a normal good/evil event - i.e. the good penalty should be higher and the evil gain should be smaller, but eventually, it could get you to the morality you want. It's a policy thing, so it keeps going every turn until you change it. e.g. for the evil policy setting, you get a tiny bit of extra money per

This massively plagiarized story is dedicated to all GalCiv players, crankers and masochists alike - I love yas all :) ROAD TRIP III: THE SEARCH FOR WOMBAT "USS Retox, Captain's personal log... With most of our flame-war damage repaired, we are almost home. Yet, I feel -- uneasy. And I wonder why. Perhaps it is the erratic behavior of Dr Killa... Or the emptiness of this vessel: most of our trainee crew have been reassigned; Wascally and my son Jaws are exploring some ne

Only problem is I don't think they made any legit Fatso dolls for sale. The original's in the channel seven office building, if i remember right... So, who's up for a bit of piracy? I really want an evil smiley... (:(

Yeah, on a normal ladder, having beginners in the top 25 wouldn't happen, but the devs have said they want this ladder to represent a mix of dedication and skill. If they wanted the metaverse to measure pure skill, they might as well just take the highest score anyone's ever submitted. One maso game shows more skill than 1000 crippling games, right? If they wanted pure dedication, they could just get a stopwatch and time the numbers of hours people have spent playing GalCiv.<br

Jawsie - teach the little fella to surf, I bet no-one steals your waves! Killa, if you want to take a break from the game, that's cool - I've been neglecting my overlord duties myself lately. Just stick around the forums if you can, and feed the story with some more of your wit. :-)
