This can be caused by a bad shortcut. If you unpin and then repin from the all apps list does that help?
When using the windows 7 style, it appears that the programs list is using c:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs and putting an entry in the list for each sub-directory. However, if there are no executable programs in those sub-directories, the menu entry should not exist. I have a few empty sub-directories in the Start Menu/Programs directory and those don't appear in the normal Windows Start menu list. <br
We have addressed the ubisoft connect issue in the next WB update so exclusion will not be needed.
It sounds like you have Seamless mode configured in Multiplicity and mouse has switched over to the other computer.
What apps are crashing for you?
for some reason windowblinds is preventing my ubisoft connect from starting, ill get a pop up for connect that says initializing and then it closes and never restarts. all my other game launchers work fine unless i try to launch an ubisoft game through them and then ill get nothing.
Which game are you trying?
Sorry about the long delay, didn't have time to test for a bit there, so I ran that, same error, the instant I run something like Notepad++, the taskbar preview popup flickers on my second monitor. Today I just did a fresh install of windows, only thing now added has been my browser, notepadd++ and start11, still doing it. Running the latest version of start11 downloaded this morning.
Crash dmp files would be incredibly helpful. It would be best to ensure you are using 2.55.1 (shows as 2.55 in UI) released last week just so it has all the latest fixes. Also do you have anything else altering the OS as this can sometimes cause issues.
Hello! Please tell me how to make this menu (context menu of the Start button) more compact and change the font size?
That's the Win + X OS menu. We have no control over the size or font used on that.
Ensure you have WB 11.06 or later installed.
Have either of you installed anything which might alter how the taskbar or explorer works? Something like windhawk mods?
Quoting RetroGamig, reply 448 Thanks for the fix! This resolves the issue temporarily; hopefully, a permanent fix will be implemented in the future. Many thanks regardless. [e digicons][/e] Best, Jacob I believe th
I would recommend installing v2.55 beta as that may resolve this as I could not reproduce your issue here.
As a guess I would say you may have enabled some sort of desktop lockdown option in Fences. Start11 does not have such functionality so shouldn't be causing that.
Open Start11 settings, go the taskbar page. Scroll to the bottom and on Taskbar touch mode detection pick : Force non touch mode device. For some reason Start11 is detecting you as having a touch device which alters how the taskbar works slightly and is causing this issue.
We have reproduced the issue and should have a fix in the next update. I suspect the spotify app updated and changed how it exposed its icon, resulting in the default chromium icon to show rather than a custom one.
There are registry edits to do that in Windows. A web search should provide one. It would block you from accessing some newer context menu options now however.
What AV app are you using?
Thanks for the bug report. I believe we have identified the issue and the next update should resolve this.
ChatGPT is in error there. Fences does not have options to alter the Win+X menu. Start11 does, but you are clearly not using that.
Uninstall Start11 (keep settings) > fill out a questionnaire > REBOOT > download Start11 > get activation key by e-mail > finish install Start11 > REBOOT > Backup settings to a file > select file > confirm save > same result "Start11 is not responding"
Have you installed anything which might alter file picker dialogs or mess with UAC settings?
No release of Windows 11 has supported more than one line of tray icons without some sort of modification.
We addressed this in the 11.07 beta update released a couple of days ago.
Did you mean you have now disabled vsync or not? Disabling would be bad, forcing on would be good as it sounds like the menu is running uncapped frame rate so as fast as your computer can render it which I imagine would be very quick!
Have you disabled vsync in your GPU drivers?
