I dont do combat a lot: I just wasnt sure if I should have seen each corvette attack separately or not. As it was so many souls died in one attack phase (:( but I'm reassured that it is working correctly.

Have the way fleets work changed? I was the lucky recipient of 54 corvettes :HOT: that I put into a fleet and attacked a death knight with. One dose of combat and around 40 of my corvettes were destroyed along with the alien death knight. Or has it always worked like this?
Well, I do keep being told that New Orleans is a nightmare of drunken, vomiting revelers :VOMIT:. I intened to head up to New Roads tomorrow (from Baton Rouge) which is reputedly more civilized. :) [Message Edited]
...as they sound down here in Louisiana. Have a good Mardi Gras :)
I did help them out by giving them all my obsolete defenders and corvettes :) As a Pangaeanist I have been waiting for the Arcean's to see the hopelessness of their position and follow the Altarians and Yor Collective in turning themselves over to me voluntarily. However, as their leadership is clearly not enlightened I may have to offer the people of the Arcean empire the benefits of becoming a Terran Protectorate - in return for invading their systems myself of course. ;) [Message Edite
Following an unfortunate diplomatic incident the Drengin and Arcean's went to war. As they were both fairly evenly matched in terms of star systems and military I rubbed my hands at the prospect of my two enemies wearing each other out. However, The Drengin rapidly destroyed the Arcean fleet. Strangely, however, despite the territory now being ripe for the picking they didnt invade any of the Acrean systems! They had the opportunity to double their empire but didnt take it. Their vastl
When I tried to reload my game from a file "New Save Game" I found it hadn't been saved and an old game loaded in instead. Similarly "Autosave" had not been updated with my latest games data either. I had to give the save game a unique name to get it to save and reload properly.
Not true! The emperor was well known for his penchant for a good boogie on Friday nights and Tuesday Evening Karaoke!
One of the few areas I can think of for improvement in a GC2 is navigating the tech tree. Its hard to see an end tech you want to head towards and research accordingly. It is much improved now that you can "click the links" to see what techs follow or precede the one you're interested in. However, a screen that laid out the research tree and enabled you to click on an end tech and have the prerequisites line up in a research queue would help (cp. CivIII). That said, I'm still trying to
Can you imagine the explosive state all that fizzy pop would arrive in? Not a good mix with all the computers. :D
Ah! But did they think of her on Valentine's and send a card or flowers? I think not :)
Go on - welcome me to the Admiralty! ;)
Jeffrey, where did you hear the name Alan Bradley used? I don't think I remember it in the game...
Alan Bradley is the Default name for the Terran leader in the set up screen I believe. [Message Edited]
Congratulations! I hope you get to have lie in tomorrow after working hard :)
Please ignore my previous comment on the UP issue. Sorry for any inconvenience,. Move along please, nothing to see here! :)
The symbols for each of the the minor races on the initial diplomacy screen change to one of the others in the large window when you enter into negotiations with them. I had the UP tech sharing issue and got the message that although the UP had voted to share 8 techs we would not be receiving any as we were too advanced. However, I suddenly got a whole bunch of newly completed techs arrive (more than 8 it seemed).
Ah yes, but it wasn't there when I posted this :) Thank you CariElf for clearing that up.
I never did get a welcome :(
Because both require a lot of faith? :p
This was in the latest (30 Jan) AP beta but there isnt a bug thread I can see yet...I had the Dregin manage to build two starbases adjacent to each other in two different locations. In one place they were on resources and in the other, one was a resource and one a purely planted starbase. Shouldn't they be forced to be 3pc apart? And shouldnt resources be spaced accordingly too? Another minor one on the setup screen was that although changing the overall difficulty level with the arrows

I'd just like to gloat about this part of the U.S. still being sunny and devoid of snow. I love Louisiana! Otherwise nice write, always glad to read the news
Aha! A feature. Thanks.

Nothing but an empty scroll bar on the Speak To screen." I got this same bug last night in version 1.13. I was in negotiation with a race and although they had a ship scrollbar the l
Can we send you fluffy bunnies for Valentine's day then instead? ;)
