Reply to Has anyone thought of making a windowblind specifically for one app? in WinCustomize Talk WinCustomize Forums

I'm bumping this thread to ask if anyone can tell me whether one can make a UIS1 subskin for a UIS2 skin. The reason I'm asking is that I've been working on my first WB skin for a while, trying to perfect it, then saw this thread and one similar, and am now discovering some problems with a few apps, ACDSee and MSN9 among them. If it's possible, then I'd like to include the UIS1 version as a subskin of my UIS2 skin.

For the record, the 4th link in my post #3 of this thread is a Skin Studio tutorial by Aleksyander. The 2nd link in that post is full of tips and hints for using Skin Studio. The 3rd link is a thread containing many more links for tutorials useful in skinning. The 5th and 6th links are also for skinning tutorials and guides.

Then you may well be out of luck for now. I wasn't able to get it to work on my sister's Dell computer either. You could try emailing Alexander or try posting a request on the MBM forum. The links for both are available on the mbm.livewiredev.com homepage.

More often than not, the wallpaper shown in the preview of a windowblinds skin is not included in the windowblind skin that you download. If the wallpaper is included in the skin, the author's comments will usually say that it is included. VooDoo, Corel is unfortunately similarly priced to Adobe PS, and the way they are packaging the product lately makes it worse, because I'm paying for a lot of little apps that I really don't care for just to get CorelDraw. But I still like CorelDraw enough that it's worth the investment to me. As for PSP, I remember the PSD problem you refer to, with PSP6 if I remember correctly, but I don't recall any insurmountable issues in PSP7 and I know there are no PSD issues with PSP8

I've been using Photoshop since V3, and though the program has grown by leaps and bounds since then (along with the price ), I would agree with Jerry that it's never been my favorite drawing program. I also recently bought PSP8, and given the improvements in this version, Adobe is going to have to go along way to convince me to lay down the big dollars for PhotoShop again. I agree with Travis o

Caution: This site has not been updated in a while so it's not a completely reliable reference, in my opinion, but it's a decent start. The most common resolutions are (w x h): 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, 1280 x 960, 1600 x 1200, arranged by most to least common. Randy, there is no way, at least no way of which I am aware, to change one's real name (Author:) on one's profile. So if you have a typo, or for some reason change your name, (marriage, divorce, witness protection program, etc.), one cannot change this information without the intervention of an Admin, as far as I know.
