Theme Manager (or Winstyles) does not in itself skin or theme your desktop. Instead, it tells Windows + third party applications what they need to do to apply an .XPTheme or .suite. An .XPTheme is a large zip file renamed which includes all the elements for the theme plus an .ini file which Theme Manager uses to control the other applications required for the theme. I'm with Hy_Rolr on this one. For the short bit of time it takes to install a program, it's not worth the risk of a corrupted file or some other error. I can't answer your other question, because I've never tried running anything else when I'm installing a program.

I also can't donate blood anymore due to some antibodies still hanging around in my bloodstream... a souvenir of my service in Africa. But I gave a bit over 5 gallons to the Red Cross before that, and I also urge anyone who is able to donate. I spend a fair amount of time reading the newsgroups at Stardock, and unfortunately, I can tell you from reading them that this feature is still not available in Windowblinds. There are many requests for this feature, but so far, Windowblinds is still only able to use skins that are in the Windowblinds directory. I really, really hope that this feature will be added soon.

I can't find a sysmetrix skin called projetmo1. Is this the name of the sysmetrix you are having problems with? It would be helpful in the future if you gave a link to the skin, so people trying to help you could check it out. I also agree that giving the free trial download of PSP would be a very smart move if you haven't much experience with graphics creation or editing programs. I've been using Photoshop and PSP for years, as well as various CAD programs, and I still found the learning curve on the GIMP to be pretty steep, and at least for me, not worth the effort.
