Why do alien races gradually get more hostile toward you for no given reason? I'm in a situation where me and the Torians are fighting the Drengin side by side. The Drengin are much stonger than both of us and I am considerably stronger than the Torians. For no apparent reason the Torians keep getting mad at me?? They never ask for tribute and I never ask them for tribute, his ships fly thru my space and mine thru his as we both battle Drengin. It would seem like we have this g

After looking thru numerous posts on trade good search, just wanted quick question answered. I traded some tech for an AI trade good (diplomatic translators) How can I actaully see that I got my goods or see the effects of them. When I go to trade with another race they don't appear, I read this was because I can't trade a trade good I recieved from another race. That's fine but can I see where I have it somewhere and read what it does? Vanz
my greater than and less than signs got all messed up...
Just wondering where the breakdown is for morale vs. population growth. In another thread someone said pop growth stops at a morale less than 50 and anything greater than 58 is the same. This doesn't seem right to me, has anyone actually done any kind of test to get an idea on how this breaks down, i.e (just an example not saying this is right): if (morale40) pop growth = 0 if (morale50) pop growth = 10% if (morale>58) pop growth = 20% IS it a linear relationship o
What's the deal with only colonizing class 15 planets as the manual decribes (pg. 5) . I colonize 14 or 13 then use soil enchanment and habitat improvement , and then I have my 15 class? Playing the AI on small map hardest level and he is flying right by many class 14 planets. I only own 2 planets above 14 (sent pre-bought colony ship out immediately) all the others are already taken.. I realize that this will lower your overall moral, but if you keep the population small, it doesn't ef
Thats' too bad it would be cool to be able to open a little window and be able to see thru the fog of war at any point in space. Be a manufacturable entity like a ship... but better than a sensor drone cause it can't be destroyed and can go anywhere in a turn
Can't find anything in search on this. How do I open these portals to spy on other empires? Vanz
just what I needed, thanks vincible...
I find the scroll up and down keys work way too slow for looking through researched tech. For example, I just traded for Terracomputers but it takes about 60 mouse clicks to navigate down to the description (no matter how I filter it). Is there some kind of quick reference that explains what the tech does (I have the actualy tech tree pic). I looked in library and encylopedia and didn't find. Thanks. Rob
IS there any way to crank the military production for just a single planet. I need my empire to focus on research but I just need 1 constructor built and I have -400 money. I just need 1 planet near my perimeter to focus on military for about 6 turns... Thanks Vanz
BTW, thanks for telling me about the comabt simulator, it's real useful and I believe quite realistic. In reality you would think your genernals and scientists would be able to approximate a battle outcome using computers before you ever entered the battle. Most games don't have a feature like this and is sorely missed (MOO3). Actually I could put it in my calculator and use it that way if I could figure it out. Is any one out there smart enough to figure out the formula used for the co
Why is it that I attack a starbase that has att=0, def=20 hp=180, with my survey ship which has att=15, def=18, hp=79 and I lose? If the base has att=0, how is it doing damage. I looked at the base and it has 2 def bonuses and a mining bonus but no turrets or even military upgrades. Same with attacking combat transporters, attack=0, yet they destroy some of my ships?? Thanks, Vanz
