Well, Ash, I disagree. I get higher score because of several factors: 1) More time taken - I could have won or lost several small galaxy games in the time for a gigantic game 2) More at risk in this single attempt - I've staked everything in one gigantic game - while if you play a small galaxy, you get several chances to at least pick up one win. Size should be recognized if nothing for the time factor Grifman

I've got the game and multimedia downloaded after having to reinstall, but the bonuspack keeps crashing with the follwing message: "There was an error downloading the Bonuspack. The following error occurred: C:\Program Files\Games\Stardock\temp\mod_bonuspack\data\up_issues\bonuspack.UP_ISS Failed: File deleted And I've tried cleaning out the temp files before downloading but no luck. I have installed the latest GalCiv and Multimedia. However, whenever I try to download the Bonuspack, I get the following message: "There was an error downloading the Bonuspack. The following error occurred: C:\Program Files\Games\Stardock\temp\mod_bonuspack\data\up_issues\bonuspack.UP_ISS Failed: File deleted Any idea what is going on? I reinstalled the game because after updating one time, the music disappeared and stopped playing. But now I have problems up

Hmm, where is the music, in the Playlist folder? If so, then it is empty and that might be it. I'm uninstalling the Multimedia so I can reinstall it through SDC - we'll see if that works. Thanks. Grifman

Ok, Frogboy, that was the first thing I did :) No go, music is on, but it doesn't play. I know that this was put in here to prevent me from playing so your empire could catch up to mine, but it won't work . . . :) Grifman

Just wondering. I played and won a technological victory which was interesting - never fired a shot. But I "heard" that you get points for enemy ships destroyed - is that true? If so, then being nice might not be the best strategy if you can afford war. So does anyone have the formula or at least the factors involved - influence points, techs, population, money, etc? Here's my list: 1) Rally points for ships 2) It is very difficult to sell the ships you want to. You have to identify them on the map (don't want to sell those guarding your best planets maybe), then sell them on the trade screen - so you have to write them down or something. I'd like to identify them on the map screen - maybe a right click - then have their names highlighted in a different color on the trading screen. Then I'd know which ones I had identified for sale.<br

How soon does your metaverse score get posted? And how does it work? I just tried posting a victory, I typed in my name, email address, hit submit, but got no indication anything happened. I hit submit again, and the game CTD. What should happen when I post a score - seems like I should get an acknowledgement? Was I too impatient? Does it take a few minutes after I hit submit to post? Thanks. Grifman

Ok, I know you shouldn't do this, but I've got a game that I set to win by conquest, but it's getting to be a bit much. Is there some file I can edit to change the victory conditions mid game. I see a file called "Settings" under Savegames that has a bunch of numbers it in - can you manipulate this to change victory conditions? Grifman

If this is in the game, I don't know how to do it, but I'd like to set rally points for ships - set it up so that all ship production from planet X/Y/Z/etc goes to coordinate Y. Makes it easier to mass fleets. Grifman

I don't think it works that way. I don't think you can get a discount for Drengin if you buy GalCiv previously. That would be too hard to keep track of - what about if you bought other Drengin games separately? Grifman
