erm... why exactly should minors stay glued to their place? Would ANY civilization ever decide to not expand when it can?

There doesn't seem to be any zooming possibility in GalCiv and a player (and the ones talking with him) here seems to not appreciate it: http://www.apolyton.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=109176 Now I have no idea if it is hard to code and if it could be useful for GalCiv2, but I'm simply reporting this and wondering if he's the only one missing a zoom...
Boy, I never saw such a complicaed thread with a parallel discussion. Hilarious! Garçon, je n'ai jamais vu une telle complication dans un message Internet avec une discussion en parallèle. Hilarant! :CONGRAT:
CariElf, you didn't answered until now. How must I contact you?
CariElf: I sent the email at the "contact" email just on the left of this webpage. Hope it was the right place...
Mitch: They're the inhabitants that were there before the current races. And they were veeery powerful :)
It can't work! The email address I had subscribed with is out of service since it was my provider's email service and I changed provider. So I need my serial to be sent to another adress now...
I know that. What I want is my serial number, which is asked once you're in Stardock Central.
I reformated my computer and wished to reinstall my stuff. I also wish to get Political Machine (Stardock). Everythig went okay, except that I'd need my serial number and I don't know where this is. What is this serial and how do I get it?
What I said is this: "the more SB you build for something the less each one will be useful" It doesn't mean that SB should be more, or less, powerful. It only means that the more you bring of something, the less it is efficient. Of course, the efficiency curve can be different from one thing to another, but always under this rule. I guess it could be brang onto SB pretty easily.
I rarely get up to excalibur when I play so it's not relevant to me :P Basically, what I'm saying is that basing on the rule of offer and demand, the more SB you build for something the less each one will be useful. So if you bring more offer, each offer will pay less.
More SB would NORMALLY affect the ships. But not by stacking the bonus. Normally, I it would get less efficient since it's like offer and demand: the more offer you add, the less demand you're able to cover. Here, there's a demand from the ships and the SB try to cover this demand. The more they do, the less each act will be efficient. (That's how prices go down when there's more offer: the demand that was seen as very useful to cover is already covered)
You little!!! :SURPRISED:
Perhaps it has been said, but more than once, it closed the game completely when I double-clicked on a unit. It doesn't do it each time. My system: WinXP, Athlon 700, 256 SDRAM
Ok, it's arranged. ZoneAlarm was off, but apparently it helped to uninstall it.
Doesn't work here...
I tryed to enter Stardock but I got "error connection 1001". Erm... what's that??
Thanks for the info Frogboy :)
This is just an idea for Frogboy because I found Spartan, an historic game promising some innovation (www.slitherine.co.uk): why wouldn't other innovative and major commercial games also join Stardock? Since they aren't extremely well-known, they could be interested and be a commercial opportunity for Stardock. [Message Edited]
When you conquer a system from an evil civ, you could have the possibility of covertly taking their intellectuals to your service. It was done after WW2 with nazi intellectuals :p Perhaps there are other events that could happen when taking over a system: - interrogate the leaders (just ask questions or... torture) - else
Could we get 8 new types of medals, three types of smilies to show how much we did good and evil games, 6 types of bars, and since we're at it, some coded signals panels for plane landing? CALL THE BALL!!! CALL THE BALL!!! Hey, just one thing: be careful to not get so much signs that we can't recognize anything: I already mostly see a big bunch of icons of all kinds mixed up through my advance myopia in a big colored line... This seems nice, but I just wonder about the level of micro it will bring to this game that marvelously brings a "global idea" and "global management". I'm thinking more specifically about the asteroid field (is it REALLY useful to add, except for graphical purposes?) About the SB sector, I think it'd be great :) Also, I believe the interface could be simplified AND nicer like this :D Thx again for your enthusiasm Brad :CONGRAT: [Message Edited]
Besides, I should precise: In such case it would be like www.transmissionfilms.com on Overnet and eDonkey, where the company (here:Stardock) is a peer transfering data as other users.
I am pretty interested in everything that is peer-to-peer. I just wondered how would Stardock Central work if it wasn't server-user and was server-peer + peer-peer instead (with the same fee), a bit like Kontiki for GameSpot's download. The bandwidth usage needed from Stardock would then be lowered. Am I right, am I wrong? What disadvantages would it bring to Stardock and its products? Really, any answer would be interesting for me :) [Message Edited] [Message Edited]
Since there was a thread on women, I thought I just HAD to answer SOMETHING. Now it's done. Besides, I sadly didn't ever met any girl really playing games... Maybe if it was created in the metaverse we would see a few joining. Perhaps it's worth testing... :p
