Lets talk about 3v3 since thats the standard format and baseline. Lets say the enemy team has 3 Regs. Number of required Oaks = 0. Number of Required *Any Specific DG* = 0. So lets say your team jumps into my game. I have about five 3-DG combinations that I am especially fond of, none of which involve doubles. Your team picks 3 Regs. My team does not change anything and proceeds to stomp you anyways because 3 Regs is bad.
I'm a little baffled how you plan on beating 3
Quoting Starkiller18, reply 8 Shrug, LoL is coming out and it looks great, doubt the 2 new demigods will keep me here Glad to hear that! Seriously, best news I've heard all day.
Zechnophobe, That's the identical build I use. I've had pretty good success with it so far. I would actually throw in a nature's reckoning. It's very cost-effective direct damage that is *AOE* and it adds to your mana base, which helps BotS. Mana + direct AOE damage makes this item a good idea for a BotS hybrid UB. UB has the highest attack rate if I'm thinking correctly, so that increases its DPS. As long as your
Where in the world are you getting those DG X The fact that different Demigods have different strengths and weaknesses? Even if you choose different builds, there are some things certain Demigods will not be good at. Sedna will *never* be good at AoE, no matter how you build her. Torchbearer isn't a tank, no matter how you build him. Unclean Beast will never be able to heal or shield. Demigods have certain advantages and disadvantages, even with
Game theory (it's a branch of social sciences) suggests that if one team plays as one type of demigod, then the game should never be started. Here's what should probably happen if teams were trying to maximize advantages: 1. Forces of Light pick to go all Reguluses 2. Forces of Darkness pick all Oak. 3. Forces of Light change their mind and switches to all Sedna's. 4. Forces of Darkness switch to all Erebuses. etc.... The game nev
I have started listing all of my games as "3v3 US Rage and I will stab you in the eye." It's worked so far. I've been getting really sick and tired of teams dropping so it won't affect their stats
Demigod is a very loving game and brings out the best in people.
Well, I like the 'aura' items yes, but I think that your reasoning isn't true. Vlemish is a popular item for sure, but I think you can sometimes NOT get the helm for everyone for PRECISELY the reason you don't like it.
These instances are fairly rare, IMO. Virtually everyone eventually gets it, and it turns into nothing more than a personal bonus most of the time. Some variants would be nice.
The Vlemish aura is nearly useless, because most players already get a Vlemish helm. It's really only a personal bonus. We should create some helms of similar cost that have a different aura. Here are some ideas: 5% Mana cost reduction 4% Mana regen bonus +7 Mana gained on cast etc... Good idea? Bad idea? State your good ideas. :D This would encourage teamwork, since different auras would provide a greater advantage.
Do you three share items? If so, what? Do you pool your gold together to purchase items?
Sorry, I might have been a little iffy on the definitions. When I use "burst DPS," I'm referring to (damage dealt)/(casting time). Rank 4 of Rain of Ice does 800 damage and takes 0.1 seconds to cast, which is 8000 burst DPS. You can only use it every 15 seconds, so the "actual" DPS is significantly lower. It's the same thing with pounce. The high casting time of Warlord's Punisher makes its burst DPS very low, and the fact that it runs on a 30 second cooldown makes its
How about we let mana go into the negative numbers? However, you shouldn't be able to *cast* when mana is below zero. That would solve this problem.
In the spirit of Foreshadowed's thread, I would like to thank BRiiGHTT for rage quiting when I killed him as first blood. It's nice to see that you can protect a 91% win record by quiting against people who are obviously superior to you. :P I keep trying to get F***ING FAVOR POINTS for an item i need, but I can't because I play against some so-called "experienced" players that drop when things aren't going well. How the hell people complete games these days is beyond me.
Look at it this way then: the -400 mana effectively negates some 12 mana/sec, which - if you ask me - is quite a lot. Then again, burst damage is often more useful than DPS, as DPS the enemy can calculate with and heal/regenerate through, while burst damage synchronized properly with other player's abilities can punch trhough any healing he/she has.
I agree with you about it's mana capabilities. The mana side of it is attractive, especially if everyone on your team uses
Why don't you all use staff of renewal? Just curious. It seems to work really well with TB.
Considering you have an average DPS of 200, 1.5 seconds mean you would deal 300 damage in that time, which is about the same as the damage done by the item. Also the 300 damage
You do *not* have an average DPS of 200. You have a *burst* DPS of 200. The item runs on a 30 second cooldown. The average DPS of the active ability is about 9.5. It doesn't seem that great. A burst DPS of 200 isn't that great anyway.
As more and more people acclimat

Ooze/Spit UB on Leviathan is pretty good. The HPS and MPS flags let you run both really well.
Foreshadowed is very proud of the fact that he is incapable with pleasantly socializing with most people. This means he would fit in wonderfully at a nursing home. Slobbering old ladies are probably as close as he'll ever get to having a girlfriend.
OK so you tie one or two assassins with these items to a Sedna built like this: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/357606/page/1/#2288173 (reply 4) Give her a Magnus too, as mrappard points out, and deck them all out in trinkets. Now you restrict your play to maps with Celerity flags and make sure you keep it locked down, and you have a premade team with interesting synergy
That's pretty swanking good. I've got another great way to exploit this mix.
The sweet thing about cooldown reductions is that it is based off of the original cooldown, not the current cooldown. In this case, it's a good thing that cooldown reduction is additive and not cumulative. :D Ok, I just for fun I tried this using TB equipped with a Vlemish, Magnus Rod, and Staff of Renewal. I was able to spam abilities nonstop with a slight loss of mana each time. Here's how it breaks down with ice TB maxed out on Cataract and constantly spamming
Sounds good. Magnus rod is expensive though, and you'll burn up all your mana with renewal in the early game. I'm guessing it takes a while to get cooking?
Yeah, it does take a while to get working. Once it gets going, though, you get to spam abilities with very few mana problems. The main difficulty with this combo is remembering to hit the Magnus Rod before casting. It takes some practice getting used to it.
