Looks like LongHorn will be a Windows-authored version of MacOSX, down to the Expose features, drop shadows and file management. I WAS looking forward to LongHorn until this.

Toothsome, you're only considering the GUI and effects of it, not the underlying structure. Supposed to have much greater system stability and driver support inately. I see your point, though: On a brand-new Toshiba Laptop, I can't keep XP running stably for over 8 hours (right out of the box). Buying a mac.

Satan's Child - Had a Nondisjunction for WB almost completed for the GUI olympics (except for the transfer animations, large glyphs, and the system buttons) and then had a catastrophic hard-drive failure. Everything lost. 2gigs of scientific data from my lab, 5 Aston-Shell themes, a sysmetrix skin, and Nondisjunction WB. F0rezt, Thanks, you answered my question. I was curious why so many Linuxer's would be hanging out at a Windows Customization site. Seemed really fishy until you clarified. In regards to relevance: There have been plenty of Linux-oriented posts at WinCustomize over the years, and although it does not really apply to Win-customizing, it has established its place in the news items. Long-click, I'll have to try that! (Nice feature). I have to admit, linux does have the advantage of efficiency in the copy/paste department. Much faster than hitting Ctrl+c or Ctrl+V (replaced by one click).

Froggie, Is a team required to have skin submissions for all categories, or is it permissible to have just a WindowBlinds submission? To the skins have to be submitted directly to a particular event (Most OS-like, for example), or are they submitted to a single pool out of which the judges pick which is the best for each event? Lastly, anyone interested in teaming?

Martin and Star, I think most users trying Linux run into the same conundrum that drove me away from it after two months running it exclusively: loss of productivity. I've not met a casual linux user. They tend to be the types that love to tweak every single aspect of their environment, and Linux is absolutely the perfect thing for that. Pending approval, two pics will show up in the Graphics section titled CryogenXP and SequencerXP. Sequencer is obviously more complete than its little brother. As mentioned in the descriptions of both (I think), I am totally willing to create further graphics for either as needed, I just hate coding the skin, even SkinStudio. There's just too much work involved to be fun anymore.
