1. The ticker doesn't move 2. I find the game verey fun. MAP: with more icons, the map becomes a mess. You can't tell what's all combined in each state when there's more than one icon in a state. 3. Election day: the voting state-to-state map switch is WAY too fast. If you add a little more data, and let the person wait at each state, it'd be much more dramatic and a great way to cl

OK some more notes: If I do anything before launching the game after rebooting, the game CTD's. Pretty frustrating. My system is quite clean. The only other things that run in hte background are itunes junk and Nero (inCD) stuff. I just tried to make a character like myself in real life, and having little to
An in-game tutorial would be wonderful... Also, I'd like to be an independant, Whig, or soemthing else instead of Republican or Democrat
Well I'm just starting to learn it, and really love it so far. I can't seem to save my game however. Also, it's been alittle difficult to select the smaller states. If the game crahses I have to reboot my computer to get it to run again. After I learn what the heck I'm doing I'll have a lot more feedback for you!
I CTD when when the movies stop playing or if I click to skip the movies so I haven't even seen the game yet... * OS: Win XP Home SP1 * Directx 9.0B * Processor: AMD 64 3200+ * Motherboard: Asus K8V Deluxe * Bios Rev: Version 1005 * Memory: 1 Gig Kingston 3500 (433MHz) * Video Card: ATI Ra
I found the saved games in the: C:\Program Files\Stardock\Drengin.net\AltarianProphecy\Data\Campaigns I now see that's the problem. When I go to load a campaign, it's not looking in that directory. Also, there is no prompt to overwrite an existing file. I think if there had been (overwrite prompt) I would have realized it was being written somewhere. I can't find any way to load those files though...
Cari, It still won't save. I follow the steps exactly, and it just doesn't add it to the saved games list.
It changes the name to what I specifiy, but when I hit the "save' button nothing happens.
Please someone help me! Write down "exactly" the steps to save a game in the Altarian Propehcy Campaign. Everytime I type in a namer and hit save... well it doesn't save. It's getting so frustrating!
I've tried thaty. I enter "2" for my savegame name and hit enter, and nothing.
Arrggh stupid thing. I cannot save a game! When I click the space to save, it clears it out, I click "enter" and I click save game, but it never saves >:(
Just wondering if the new AP beta still being released today? I sure hope so!
That's cool! It's pretty funny how we speculate on all that :) although it is funny it's from Tron also. LOL
Hehe, I meant where could I download it :)
Cari, When you say "on the server" -where is that? :)
First of all is there any way to bribe an AI to break an alliance with another AI? I can't seem to find that as a barter element in trading.
There's no sound effect when you destroy a planet with a terror star. It definately needs a big BOOM!
Posion - nothing wrong with playing cakewalk level. It takes time to learn all the techs and ships etc. Just as well to do it that way thorugh winning experience and be in control. Oh by the way, I was finally able to bury my opponents in debt - HOWEVER!!! I had such a large military, and depended so strongly on the AI funds that when they all went broke, I did too! I won the game with a total bankroll of -$20,000 Everyone surrendered after I wasted a bunch of plane
Cari, I'm sending you a 100% reproducable bug. In this savegame: 1. Offer peace, AND add the Minor's homeplanet to the bartering table. 2. After both Minor's have been "absorbed" into your empire, the game CTD's.
Clicking any planet? I'll try that next time. Thanks Rohan!
OK that worked. I ran itno the notorious turn doens't end problem. The hourglass thingie stays up. I checked my resoucerses and ironically it said Galciv was using no cpu. Maybe that's the problem when the turn takes forever to conclude... the game rolls down cpu usages to almost nothing.
So how do you get out of this situation?
I had 2 strange files (1 zip, and one ~ file) tonight show up on my desktop out of nowhere. All I all night was check my e-mail and play Gal Civ - so it got me worried.
I'm having some weird things happening on my computer and I'm checking everything that's loading when I boot, and one of the things auto-loading is the following: sdmcp.exe Is that suppposed to be happening? This concerns me as it does NOT show up in my msconfig or services.msc file.
Cari, I've run into a problem. I'm attacking with a mammoth invasion force of like 30 ships (inluding full combat transports). I attacked one of the minor's home planet, and my whole fleet has ended up on top of the planet - even though there's a full complement of enemy ships still defending the planet (like 15 ships). So both opposing fleets and occupying the same space on the planet.
