I know it's hard to do since most people tuned into the VP debate hoping either one or the other would do well or fall on their face. Most tuned in having plenty of preconceived notions about the nominees. But if you can put the partisanship and expectations aside, I think you would see the outcome as more of a draw. Neither looked like a fool. Both misspoke at times but there were no huge gaffes that I have heard of. But people have plenty of influences in the

It was on Hannity & Colmes last night too. Those little kids have no idea what they're singing about.
And now it's not their fault? What if the policy of giving mortgages to the poor had been a resounding success? Would Democrats claim credit?
They are doing their usual blame Bush and that act like they are heroes out to save "Main St"...hah! What a bunch of slime balls. And anyone saying that the Republicans were as slimey on this subject as the Dems aren't educating themselves. Just take one look at who was making all the money off from Fannie & Freddie.
I really don't care if it was 20% or .02%. There shouldn't be any kind of earmark for ACORN in there!
Dude, just have fun with it. I thought we all knew what to and what not to take seriously here.
1) I'm not a Dude 2) This wasn't in the humor section and therefore appears as another "Evil Right Wing Fox spreads anti Democrat rumor" blogs. It certainly sounded by the way it was written that the author didn't understand that Fox was reporting there was a rumor. "Biden to Drop out According to Fox" is misleading and wrong.
If you take your car that you believe to a "mechanic" and he says it's fine would you let the same "mechanic" fix it when the trouble you expected turns out to be the case?
Good analogy.
I've been told recently that I look like Trishelle from The Real World Vegas. I looked her up. I'll take it. I never watched the show though.
Yeah, now Barney Frank and Schumer are complaining that McCain is causing harm to their bail out deal. Boo hoo! We should listen to the brain trusts who told us that Fannie & Freddie were doing great. Very respectfully Mr. Schumer, I think you should be told to get out of town!
There is so much spin around the whole bail out deal it's dizzying! The Dems tried (and largely succeeded) to convince people that they had a deal done until McCain brought it to a screaching halt. That has been debunked but after hearing about some of the earmarks the Dems are trying to put in their "deal", I would call McCain a hero if he had thrown a wrench in the works. One of the most scary provisions was a 20% earmark for ACORN (if you don't know what ACORN is,
To qualify, the reason why I don't agree with there being a lot of selflessness is because if you feel you are sacrificing too much, you will begin to resent and that never ends in Happily Ever After. In order to have a successful Until Death do you Part marriage, both people have to be getting satisfaction from being with each other. If one or the other feels they are compromising all the time (having to be selfless) then they will end up not feeling satisfied with the marriage.<
"happily ever after" takes lots of work, hard work, and love, and caring, and selflessness, with a bit of selfishness tossed in too, but lots of selflessness!
I agree with most of what you're saying but I have never agreed with the hard work and selflessness idea of being the only way to make a marriage work. Every couple has their moments when they are upset with each other. You can't have passion without anger. But if you are true to yourself and your sign
I saw reports on the new that seem to show that maybe if we hold back a bit on this "bailout" that the markets may actually correct themselves. A few examples are JP Morgan acquiring WaMu and Warren Buffet paying 5 billion for Goldman Sachs.
Not bloddy likely! Have you seen what happens to the stock exchange when they hint one way or another on the bailout? If we hold back then confidence in our system will be lost, people will make a run on their banks, our dollar
Goodbye John. You can only lie so much before you shoot yourself in both feet. Or before the "live free or die" republicans cling to their guns and do the shooting for you.
When was he lying and, hello, kook alert! "cling to their guns" eh. You obviously have a subscription to Democrat Talking Points Weekly.
The McCain campaign is proposing to have the debate moved to Thursday replacing the VP debate. That's too funny!
I don't know if I look like anyone famous but I must have a twin or two our there since I'm always being mistaken for someone else.
John McCain has obsolutely no power over this except to vote yes or no when it hits the Senate floor.
Wrong. He can convince others to vote his way also. It looks like he did get straightened out either on his own or by his handlers and the debate is set to go on as planned tomorrow. I'm betting they'll set some record viewing on the upcoming debates. Should be interesting!
sounds like a wild rumor to me
Duh! Did you not read the title of the article? It said "RUMOR thrives on internet". FOX didn't report that Biden was going to drop out. They reported that there are popular rumors that he will. What was the point of this blog? Were you trying to discredit FOX because you lack reading comprehension?
I just don't see why the debate needs to be forgone and I especially think that suggesting it be reschedule in the stead of the VP debates is highly suspect. I'm behind the idea of doing his job and helping as much as he can to get a better solution for the financial crisis but I still don't see why he can't show up for the debate and I especially don't think they should replace the VP debate.
I think it's fine for McCain to make this financial crisis his number one priority but I do think he should still participate in the scheduled debate.
That's where I stand on it. Like Obama said, they can get you from D.C. to Mississippi pretty quickly. The part that I thought was the biggest "dumbass" suggestion was to reschedule the presidential debate to take place the time slot now designated for the VP debate. This looks like they are trying to guard Pal
I hope you guys are right.
McCain just announced that he is postponing his campaign, most importantly, including the presidential debate slated for Friday, in order to go back to Washington and do what he can to help find a solution to the major financial crisis. He says that he would rather lose an election than not do what he can for the country. He just might indeed lose the election in my opinion. What about all the people who have been planning and investing in the debate that is now
Anthony R, Obama excused the whole buying a house along with Rezko's wife as a "boneheaded idea" and that he's going to make "mistakes". Anyone who claims to have a "good feeling" about Obama really needs to take a closer look at this guy. Sure, he's good looking and can speak well. He's good at making excuses and covering things up too.
Try walking one mile on a treadmill and then running one mile and see what the diff is.
Running, that's funny :) Just kidding. Maybe Brad will take up running. He'll have to find someone other than his walking partner to run with though.
You want to guess who said that? Joe Lieberman. In 2006.
He sure doesn't feel that way now. Wonder what he learned.
That has got to suck hard! Not having water or refrigeration, can't do it! My parents are old school farm community people so I can always go to their house for generator convenience whenever we have lengthy power outages. We haven't gone a significant amount of time without power since the blackout a few summers back. Hope things improve big time pronto!
