his mother was 18 at the time of his birth. And if this were to happen to one of his daughters, he wouldn't want her to be punished with a baby.
So does Obama feel his mother was "punished" with him? I never heard the "punished with a baby" thing before but what a screwy thing to say! Perhaps Palin's daughter understood that pregnancy was a possibility and accepted that possibility and is now taking responsibility for it....unheard of! I doubt anyone in their

I feel so sorry for Bristol! I couldn't even count how many teens I've seen lately who have tummies just like hers and I'm certain they aren't all pregnant. How horrible to be a teen and be accused of being pregnant with your own brother! I agree that Palin didn't appear pregnant in the photos but look at Nicole Kidman. I had a cousin whose wife, pregnant with their second child (ended up being a big baby boy) didn't look pregnant at all and was back in a bikini two w
He was just using the Spanish language as an example.
He said they need to speak Spanish specifically, He could have said "a second language" if he meant anything else. It sounds like you are the one hearing what you want to hear and making excuses for him. I'm not a Republican, I don't like Bush and I have no reason to dislike Obama for anything other than what he is putting forward himself. I don't believe change for change sake is a good thing

They always figure out how to snatch defeat from the arms of victory. How the hell would anyone claim she didn't get proper prenatal care? She had a baby in her 40s. Anyone knows your chances of birth defects start going up after age 35. She is pro life and walked the walk. She probably got plenty of prenatal care but may have not bothered with scans that would show such a birth defect (as some other pro life women I know bypass) because it wouldn't effect her de

Obama also said a light would come down from somewhere and tell you to vote for him (hence the Messiah complex). I have been a responsible person my entire life and it has payed off. My husband and I take care of our own family, we invest for our future so we can continue to take care of our own family (the way we want to) and my husband works his ass off to not only have the lifestyle he wants but also to provide good, rewarding jobs for many others. I don't need to have so
He actually said those words, huh?
Yes, he actually said those words along with stating that our children need to learn Spanish. I watched and heard those words come out of his mouth so I dislike him for him. Nice try to you.
Neither. He's just a politician even though he pretends he is above it that is exactly what he is.
I agree but he talks like he's the second coming and when he tells us that we can't eat whatever we want, set our thermostats to 72 degrees or drive and SUV, he sounds like a dictator. I'm not interested in either.

Zoo, it depends on if they are elite because of their intelligence and accomplishments or because of the privileges they have been afforded. We don't want to be "ruled by" an elite group. We want a government that will work "for us".

From the Mount Olympus type setting of the DNC, Obama looked down upon his subjects and accepted their appointment of him as their nominee. It was quite a spectacle. Plenty of celebs were everywhere. The hype was palpable. What a show! But that is all I see coming from the Dems, show and no substance. They are for the things that are good and against the things that are bad. Obama is going to tell us what we should and shouldn't do because we
The whole black man vs. woman thing didn't work out very well for the woman last time, though...
That's because women didn't like Hillary. Palin is very high on the likable scale. One thing that gets me about the Dems is I guess they are saying they need any old Dem in the White House. Hillary was totally against Obama's policies but now that he won the nomination she has to say to vote for him because they need a Democrat...any old one will due. <p

I like her! I think they should let her do more speaking than McCain. I think the Dems putting her down for coming from a small town is going to come back to bite them. Are they saying you can't do great things just because you're from a small town? I look forward to the VP debate! I hope Palin pushes Biden's buttons and makes him foam at the mouth!
It seems I must have tried to give up cigarettes a million times, yet I continue to kill myself.
I've heard that is one of the most difficult addictions to kick. I guess if you are convinced it will kill you and you are convinced you don't want to die, you will find a way to quit. Best wishes.

Who can blame you for missing Hawaii?! But like you said, you were lucky to have lived there at all. When you were there you missed TX, right? There are things that I miss about our first apartment together but sure wouldn't go back! I'm sure you and your kids will make lots of new friends in no time. You haven't been back for that long. As far as horrible traffice goes, I think LA and Dallas were the worst I have ever witnessed.

I started dejunking. It will probably take me a year or so to get through the whole house at the rate I'm going. I always get a million interuptions and I have to organize to the nth degree once I get into it. So far so good though.

I hear ya! I couldn't home school without totally losing my mind. I love my children to pieces but I think you lose track of yourself when you have no time without them and I don't think it's good for them to be under your wing all the time either. I'm not excited about school starting but I'm not exactly dreading it either. I'm looking forward to getting some structure back. The days of summer are to willy nilly for my liking. I love summer for the first
And it isn't a Christian thing, it's a people thing.
It sure is. Religion has nothing to do with it. It's all about human nature. I'm not sure why religion got thrown into it but then again, it gets interjected into pretty much everything. I like the soldier scenerio BFD. Very true.

Wow, glad I could inspire. It is often easier to have the negative stick in your mind than the positive. You can get a million compliments but it the one case of ridicule that stands out. Making note of the good things, no matter how small, is a very good idea. Kudos!
