I think you have all seen the decision you have to make about the Giant Worms. You can either let them live and let them eat up the planet's soil, or you could just kill them. If you chose to kill them, your civ turns evil right away (even if it's the first quest you get). Does anyone else find this stupid? Just say there were Giant Worms that somehow evolved on Earth and started eatin the planet's soil, I sure as hell would want them exterminated, as well as many other people too. That doesn't
I don't like this account, and I don't think it'll let me use the new one I registered. I want my scores to be submitted under the new alias I made. What do I do?
I downloaded the 1.20 patch about 10 miniutes ago. I then re-submitted my game I won earlier today to the metaverse. My original score went about by about 2,000 points... The problem is that the same game is in my metaverse profile two times. Does anyone know how I can fix it? Also, I wanted to re-submit the first game I played so I can get another 2,000 extra points added. It won't let me for some reason. What can I do?
Oh. So back when this version was out, they didn't have the good/evil thing around?
Another question... ...Will I end up getting a higher score with a higher difficulty?
I understand the first part. Now about the second part. So on May 12th, my scores will go down 5%. Then on June 12th, my scores will go down by Another 5%? If this is how it is, then what happens when it's at 0?
Alright.. Last game, I tried to be an evil civilization. Every time one of those random events popped up, I chose the evil desicion. There were about 3 or 4 that popped up that game. In the end, I had a neutral alligned civilization. Shouldn't it have been chaotic evil or pure evil? What exactly was I doing wrong?
How exactly does the scoring system work? I've played two games. On the first game my score was 324. On the second game my score was 514. Now I'm looking at my overall score. It appears to be 593. Shouldn't my overall score be 838? I'm a bit confused on how exactly the overall score works. Could some one please fill me in?
Oh okay. I have them all at friendly. I guess that was my problem
Noob question.... ...I already have alliances reseached and I gave the technology to all the other alien races. What do I do from there to ally with them? I don't see any thing under treaties in the diplomacy screen. Should it be there?
Oh wait, I read your post wrong :notsure: I need to get my glasses on
Oh alright. So I can just wipe out 4 civilizations, and ally with the one remaining race and still win alliance vic?
In order to get the alliance victory, you need to have all civilizations allied with you. Now I'm still a bit confused on what this means. Does this mean all existing civilizations? (i.e. you're allied with 2, while the other 3 have been eliminated). Or do you need to have all 5 races alive and allied with you?
I appretiate the help. Thanks a bunch guys.
Hello. I haven't been playing for too long. I am fairly new. I have managed to get one victory through millitary might. I now wanted to try to beat the game through technology. I read some where that it is the hardest victory to get. Is this true? I also needed some tips before I get started. I need tips that will make it easier to achieve technological victory. (keep in mind that I am setting the difficulty on sub-normal, if this helps any) What are the best
Oh okay. I did one of those forum searches and found that some where. I guess it's not true.
I've been searching through various posts to learn more about the game. One thing I came across was that the two new races in the altarian prophecy will not have pictures. Just symbols that have already been used by the alexians and carnoids. Is this true?! If it is then that'd be a disappointment. I don't like how the minor races don't have portraits. It doesn't feel realistic. How hard could it be to make portraits anyway? I'm into graphic designing myself, and it's really no
Thanks for the help == What are the prerequisits for Alliance?
I haven't really figured it out. Do I need to reseach it? Or do I need to just wait until other civs ask me for one?
Uh oh! So I guess I have to reinstall GalCiv to get that beta expansion off. I had no idea it was a beta :SURPRISED: Any way, thanks for the help
I've had this game since last weekend. Earlier today, I completed my first game. I have heard about there being patches for this game. So I came to this site and downloaded the "free expansion", 1.2 I think. Next, I thought there might have been more things to download. So I did that stardock central thing, and I am unsure if I downloaded anything on that or not.. I think I did, but it said somthing like I couldn't download because I didn't register somewhere.. I think... Was t
I'm looking for a site that has all of the 30 minor civilizations's screen shots and details. Does anyone know where I can find one?
