I wonder if it might be better to just have propaganda levels set a bit high in order to prevent you from having to jettison off colonists to keep your morale up? what do you think?

Add something called Cryogenic Colony Ship to solve the overpopulation/morale quandry. With this ship.. you load up colonists and then send them out on the ship to parts unknown and farther than the known galaxy. In Effect..the colonists will vanish when the ship is launched as will the ship. It will prevent having colony ships just milling about.
hmm?
anyone know? :)
I have 50 % approval with ZERO percent tax rate... and i'm wondering the same thing. Whether it is foreign influence or overpopulation.
I have my tax rate at 0 and have sold alot of tech to have lots of money..but even so....my morale is only at 51 % ..with 0 tax..no money coming in from the colonies. So the low morale is a factor of population eh? So i should ship out my colonists to raise my morale and allow myself to generate some sort of tax? :) Doug
Frogboy... Is this a possible bug? Douglas
wow..ok ! thanks regarding that advice! -Doug
Yes..see my other post about this regarding gaining the senate +20 morale boost etc
I noticed that my morale hardly changed when i gained control of the senate...however i did not notice if the morale of +20 was divided amongst the colonies by number..for example i have 10 colonies..does this moral bonus mean 20 divided by 10= +2 moral bonus for each colony?
For my first learning game..I am playing a simple game. I haven't seen any space monsters yet...is that due to it being a simple game? or am i just randomly unlucky not to see one? Douglas
Just wondering if anyone has created, or if there any available desktop icons for the game? For example: the race emblem icons, a little picture of the aliens icons? etc -douglas :)
thank you :)
1. Add some Beginner Money Helper option that gives pop up advice on how to better manage your finances and/or gives you special events that give you extra money if you are playing a simple level game. 2. Add more random fun events (maybe an option) 3. Allow some way to call the galactic council to meet or meet emergency meeting and have you able to propose things. that's it. -Doug
For example..if you are a benevolent ruler and make all the very goody good choices when the 3 decision options on events come up.......can you negate that move towards the "good" side by trading or selling techs with the evil empires? or can you actually move more toward evil by doing this than making the goody good decisions? i'm not clear on this in my trial game.
1. For example ..if a system's influence lists 12 ..and there are 2 16 level planets there..do you get more than 12 for colonizing both of them? 2. Also i noticed a system with influence 50 and no planets...is there a way to gain that inluence from it later in the game by some tech i have heretofar not obtained? :) Doug
Can you scrap alot of your ships late in the game to avoid maintenance costs? I also find that i am in the red late in the game... and it is harder and harder to stay above -500 without selling techs ..but that's only a temporary fix.... i have a low tax rate as well... Q: are your maintenance costs for your fleet less if you spend a greater % on the military slider? The main problem i'm finding in this game for my lame brain i guess is running
thank you very much! i don't know what that means :D
great idea as either 1 or 2 files. i'd prefer d/ling 1 big file, though :) Douglas

Yeah, i just mean it would be FUN a mod with a bunch of MOO/MOO2/MOO3/GALCIV civilizations. unofficial of course :D Doug
1. Is there an option to declare an emergency and bring out martial law..pump out military production..quash the senate? 2. Is there a way to call the galactic council to a meeting a propose measures? Or must you wait for them to call meetings and listen to their proposals only? no criticisms ..just curious again as the day draws near :)
thanks for the answer that's a smart move! :)
Is there an option to play with less races than 6? (counting your race- humanity as 1)...can it be limted to say...3 random races? you and 2 others? or must it be you and the 5 others every time? just curious. Douglas
