The title is the question posed to me in a volunteer application I'm going to fill out for the Duluth Greenman festival this July so I can avoid the $75 charge for tickets and hang out with some crazy people on that particular weekend. I'm not sure exactly what my answer will be...it might even be one of the featured artists at the festival, Mason Jennings and his so

Chris, you know that I've never been a big pearl jam fan, but I will say they have done some of the best covers I've ever heard...which may be blasphemous to someone like yourself. During their era I was headphoned in mostly to Nirvana, STP, Smashing Pumpkins, etc..Pearl Jam kind of seems like a 90s version of The Doors to me.....very musical and interpretive. They definitely found a niche and seemed pretty damn original to me, cause if they had soun

I went to bed early so I could write about you, and all the ways you've made my solid world come unglued, it would be untrue, to say that I'm not affected, by the direction this has taken me so unexpected, Though I expect to be a little thrown off course, I can still make par, and if you're the cowgirl, I'm the horse, and I'll gallop off

That entry was the shit...definitely helped me recapture a lot of good times...and that was only one night. Maybe Duluth isn't mad at me and you for leaving, in fact, maybe it respects where we're heading enough to cater to us when we grace it with our presences.....or at least that's the story I'm going with. You rock Beal, don't forget it.

So it's been awhile since I've actually had a real blogging entry other than my poetry (which I couldn't be happier with the response I have received). So I figured today would be a good day to do so, especially in light of what's been happening in my life as of late. 44.44 miles is the distance I traveled during my bike commute today...I thought it was a cool numbe

Dude, I tested out the new bike on the Lakewalk this weekend floats nice and smooth if you want to hit the rocks off the sides of the bridge. Chris, bummer you couldn't make it back on Saturday. And apparently my car was mad at me for making it leave Duluth cause when I got home today my fuel line was leaking. Maybe I should get full coverage and find someone to careless fling a cigarette in its direction. Hope the rest of your weekend we

The little dream SuspecTed I know I’m not the only one waiting for these little dreams to grow up, Waiting to make a difference, I’m collecting ingredients. But I’m an impatient tinkerer, The only thing I successfully invented were these arbitrary timelines. I’m seeking patents. Deadlines, That gauge success on a lack

This has gotta be fast cause I've got two minutes or less, but this is supposed to be a break not add up my stress, and I've been blessed to be riding to work, while I'm flicking off my car and the rest of these commuting jerks, my commuting perks....are dirty pants and T's, and with the right words I'll let you feel these...arms, growin'

thanks for commenting NickyG. Sometimes I write "poetry" and sometimes I just play with rhymes and see what comes up. A lot of my poetry rhymes, but my "rhymes" are usually written with a great emphasis on rhyming and not as much on the content. It's more of a free-writing form for me. Eye of the beholder I suppose. And written before shopping, I like having a notebook in the car so I can pull over somewhere if some passing words that

I wrote this in the grocery store parking lot, apparently grocery shopping makes me think about sex. So here's some grocery store parking lot rhymes for y'all. Not one of us gets enough nutrients, Or physical affection, so pull down your pants and point me, In the right direction, In the middle of the produce section. We're p

Exactly why, Why exactly, I came to this conclusion. In hopes that the conclusion is more than, Giving in to the pressure to conclude. Nothing really is conclusive, At least I've come to that conclusion. Instead I've merely come to the "realization," That I want to take a risk. Conclusions are drawn from res
