#1- I had a frigate and a transpot grouped in a fleet and sent them to an enemy planet (clicked on the planet to move). When they got there the ships were stacked on top of the planet and the transport did not invade. There was no AI ships orbiting the planet so no combat occured before. I have a save game file showing the ships stacked on the planet if needed. #2- On a gigantic map, the Yor home planet is on the very bottom left corner. You can not see the name because the tool b

BTW- I did send save game files from the first game. Not sure If SD got them or if it helped.
I'm bumping this becuase it happend again in two more games and I haven't really seen it addressed. (I apologize if it has!) It's not that the AI doesn't expand past 5 planets. But it seems to take them too long to do it. In the 3 games on Gigantic maps I have played, I have been able to expand across the map before the AI can get more than 5 planets. (Average AI)
When watching the ships move on the map, I notice that sometimes they move smoothly across the screen, then other times they move space to space with pauses. I really like the look of them moving smoothly without pauses. As I recall it seems to be the ships that are focused on that do the stuttering movement. Is it possible for all movement to be smooth? Thanks!

Brad, I emailed you two saved games about this on Saturday. I initially thought it was a bug and the AI couldn't expand past 5 colonies. Later in the game they did expand a LITTLE. But I was able to expand all the way across the map in that time. Later
The game crashed to desktop after clicking the "turn" button. This was the first turn after I had just loaded a save game. I have a save game if you would like to see it. Using beta 3Z1, I am playing on a Gigantic Map with Average AI. The AI seems to have stopped expanding after colonizing 5 planets. I have been able to spread across the galaxy uncontested. Give me a link to email if you would like a copy of the save game. Later.
I was wondering if it is possible for SD to comment on how many people have purchased the game and downloaded the Beta? If not, I understand. Just curious is all. Thanks!
Just wondering how's it looking for friday? That's ok if you have more things to do before it's ready. But I'm trying to plan my Friday evening. Right now I'm intend to go out with the wife. But if you are able to release it tomorrow, then the wife can wait! ;p LOL Later
Can we at least get an update that fixes the stacking bug by Friday? It would sure help in making suggestions or comments on game balance. Right now I don't think any balance issues can be looked at too seriously without combat as a viable option in the game. This is the main reason I haven't been playing the beta too much lately (that and I seem to be busier than hell right now). The bug just takes the "fun" out of it. Thanks.
Just checking to see in SD has noticed this??? Will it be "fixed" with the next update? Problems- 1. Arrows dissapear after selecting random AI. There is no way to unselect "random" besides restarting the game. 2. I would prefer not to know what AI I will be playing against if I choose random. Right now you can look in the race description box and determine what the AI will be after selecting random. Thanks!
Hmmm.. Nope, the morality buttons aren't comming back until I quit to desktop and restart the game. Just tried.
But what about a new person just trying the game. Isn't this something that would be very helpful? I have been playing the game for some time now also, my wife would say too much LOL , and I do not know the specific bonuses that each improvement brings. I think the above ideas would be very helpful to not only me but others as well. Lucky- JavaScout has indeed done some nice work. But it is much more handy if it is available during the game when and where I am trying to ma
In regards to some of my above posts, I was also trying to figure out is this was an isolated problem or if this was happening to everyone all the time. Because it is just me, and if it isn't happening to everyone, maybe there is something I can do to prevent it. Still not sure on this....
I wasn't trying to rush them. Just wondering if this is something that will be fixed in a "minor" update, or if this will wait till they release Beta 3F. One reason I'm kinda hoping it's soon is there was some good stuff released in 3E, but it is hard to tell what effects it has on the game, when a major portion such as space combat doesn't work. And, there were a couple posts by Brad asking what we thought of 3E, but it's hard to say with this bug. Again, sorry if
Dawn- The left/right arrows dissapear after selecting random. They should probably just stay there so you can change it back from random.
Right now when you select a different area of research the main screen shows you what improvements you can make once you finish the research. It would be nice to be able to see the different bonuses each improvement would get. How about being able to click on the text describing the improvement and a dialoge box pops up showing what the bonus would be? Or a pop-up box on mouse over? I know this could possible mean a lot more work, but it would make the selection of re
What is supposed to happen when you select the Random AI. I see that the selection box shows "Random", but the dialogue in the race description box shows a paragraph from one of the specifice AI's. I assume this is the AI I will end up playing against. I hope the purpose of the random AI button is to make it so I don't know how "intelligent" the opposing races will be. If this is how it's supposed to work then something needs to be done about the dialogue in the description boxes w

I don't think I am able to get a true feel for 3E because space combat is not possible so far in every game I've tried. (see - Ships Occupy Same Space Bug - thread) I do like the additions that I've seen so far. I do feel though that more should/could/can happen on United Planet front. I am curious as to why you do not have the AI go after transport ships? It only seems reasonable that if you are trying to protect your planet you'd do everything possible to stop it from being
I would like to repeat the above question. Anyone?
Has ANYONE been able to attack AI Warships? Besides colony and transports? Every game I have played since 3E does not allow me to attack! It just stacks mine and the enemy ship. When can we expect a fix for this? It kinda makes playing the game useless right now for me. Thanks.
The following is from Rantz Hoseley about MOO3 release date. Taken from http://apolyton.net/forums/showthread.php?s=367970d29ef6c7bf2cf2f77ded5a2a12&threadid=68677&perpage=20&pagenumber=2 To comment briefly. I was as surprised as anyone when we didn't go gold on Friday. We had accepted that was pretty much a set deal and while there were a couple of lingering bugs, they were smallish ones, and ones that everyone felt we could ship with. You never want to ship with bugs, b
Anyone? I can't believe this isn't happening to anyone else.
